So many memories for me. I probably watched this 100 times in the early 80s. I also mostly remembered the high cockalorum song. But I had forgotten that Tom listed “free beer” as one of the things the song means to him 😂

HIGH COCKALORUM!!! I watched this EXCESSIVELY as a kid. I’m 39 now and I STILL have most of it memorized. I love this movie so much, but I’ve never met anyone else with even a vague recollection of it.

Yeah - hbo in the early 80's for me too. This movie messed with me, kinda like dot and the kangaroo but trippier (especially with the ending and that lady with the bonnet and glasses by the tree at the end). God, we were lucky to have wild stuff like this to juice our imagination💋

I had never heard of this film but i love movies that blend live action with animated. Kinda like The Pagemaster with Macaulay Culkin.

The creepy witch women in this is Mrs. Baylock from The Omen (1976).

I watched this movie so many times as a kid! I had it recorded off of hbo, Then as an adult I bought it on vhs and it was a completely different version (also the version on KZfaq is the same version as the vhs.) the English accents on the vhs are way more extreme and hard to understand and there are added live action scenes. When I looked this up online literally no one was talking about this.I thought I was going crazy but then I found my old recorded vhs of the hbo dub With the toned down accents for Americans!!! Maybe I’ll upload it to KZfaq?

What happened to the boy actor, who played ' Tom' , Tommy Pender ??? He only appeared in one other thing filmed during the same time as this, 'Graham's Gang' in 1979, then he suddenly disappeared without trace ! Nothing heard of him since, nothing at all on the internet ! Is there any body out there who knows Tommy, what happened to him, is he alive, where is he now. Why has nobody else here asked this question before me ???
