I was never really Comicsgate. In fact i had not bought a comic since the Image days. I found EVS through Star Wars, but he got me back into the Hobby. These other Comicsgate voices can't make those claims, because they weren't even on my radar.

You're a great response to comicsgate. You've adopted the ideas behind it & poured those ideas into a product to satisfy an underserved market & that's wonderful. But you're human & 1 person & we see what happens in the mainstream industry when nobody holds creators accountable. It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch & comicsgate will remain as the quality control that holds creators accountable when they make a misstep. That's the definition of non-linear evolution. Comicsgate remains as the quality control. All Caps & Splatto & whatever other studios/publisher spring up are the response.

Vox Day tried to monopolize CG, excluding everyone. Evs attempted to protect the name so _everyone_ could use it, even VD. Everyone has always been free to do whatever they wanted. Instead they attacked Evs until he did the mature thing and left the warmongering troublemakers within the movement to themselves. This is the opposite of gatekeeping. He always had the right to gatekeep his own channel and have his own opinions, as everyone has. Some called this "gatekeeping", which is irrational since they are free to have their own channels and opinions. It shows his critics within CG were just jealous.

Yeah digital comics dont have the same feel to them but cutting shipping cost is pretty huge when we are buying multiple comics. If comicsgate or allcaps could offer package deals that could be better but then off course it would be more constricted what we can buy. Also all physical copies need to be pirated is one person to scan it so I dont see how its that much more difficult to pirate. I think people, who appreciate what you are doing, are gonna pay while those who wouldnt pay wouldnt buy it for money anyway. But maybe thats just an idealistic view. I know that if I can pirate something then I will but if I find it good then I will pay for it. Unless I already know its gonna worth it (as is the case with these comic that I know the creator of) Also cant wait for Rainbow Brute. Every idea I hear makes me more intrigued.

Regarding gatekeeping, I suggest everyone has the right to gatekeep and manage their own platforms. There’s not one universal, objective rule which will fit everyone. One you tuber may allow anyone on. Another KZfaqd May draw the line at NAMBLA freaks. That difference is reasonable. It’s up to each individual to decide for themselves.
