DIY 2 stroke cylinder part 4 - boring and honing

4 жыл бұрынIn this video I bore the cylinder to final size and hone it. I also finish the exhaust mounting flange. I did not film some other parts of finishing but the cylinder is now basically ready for installing into the engine!

After boring with a lathe how do you hone the cylinder what grits of stones do you use ? Do you do it all maunually or also on a lathe ?

I used a manual hone, a 4 stone adjustable unit from ebay. I think it was 120 grit first and finish with 320 grit. Using the hone by hand drill.

Is stock cilynder am6 ? What size piston you use ?? 46mm?
