I was thinking about making a door for my van, splittng the van into 2 sections, needing to heat only half the van up during the winter.

I'm a Murphy bed fan, but for a fixed bed I love the idea of separating the bedroom with a wall. It's already taking a lot of physical and visual space, so there's no much to win from an "open" design. But you gain a lot of privacy and even insulation by partitioning it. Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 P.D. Also great idea with the OSB. As long it's nothing structural or in contact with water it's a really underrated building material and can look very nice if finished correctly. You could add some vinyl decals to decorate it and break the monotony, although for a work van it's perfect as it is.

He stole my electromagnetic lock idea! Well, "stole" might be too strong of a word, especially since i haven't installed it. So i have push-to-open drawers and they constantly open while driving - even while on smooth asphalt just taking a gentle curve. Im gonna' screw those darn things closed, I'm telling ya!

I use the cheap ole baby locks- (screw them in-adhesive sucks)… works great for 2 years!

Paint the cabinets black/dark grey, but leave all the doors as is. Would look sick!

I like the idea of the steps inside the van. I saw a van which had steps going up to the back half of a van leading to a U shaped sofa bed area, making it not possible to stand fully up in the back but that doesnt matter because its a seating and sleeping area. Bit the steps for the van I saw were not to the side but in the middle leading to a certre walkway for a table. And it makes more storage space under the floor or for the garage.

Just curious. Why don't people use trailers?? Can you do a head to head competition for trailers versus vans??

I think it’s more of a preference thing. Some like to detach and having a van is like having another vehicle. Some maybe can’t afford a daily driver plus a van, or they don’t want to use their van for a daily driver. Trailers are typically easier to build in and can park it at a site and then use your car/truck to go into town

Why is it such a secret event????? For me as well as many others watching from right here!!! It would be very beneficial to tell your audience the locations, future events locations, most importantly the dates. Who knows, you might have interested audience to contend with!!!
