Does this have an Air Conditioner? I really like the hidden toilet and shower. I assume the shower uses 2 shower curtains? Also the interior height...did I miss that part? I would like to see a van build with the fridge up. But that could be a center of gravity issue while driving. Very nice clean design.

VFG or vertical grain fir is my favorite wood. I made a bookcase with it. My father helped. It's heavy and amber color with poly and no stain on it. I live in R.I. and there is a surplus building store that occasionally has some fir boards in stock. It's called Builder's Surplus.

TLDR - Call me Jarrod! Hey Jarrod, this is Alex. I wasn't going to reach out to you just yet, but this video just came out and popped up into my feed, so I'm giving it s shot and will see what happens. I want to reach out to van builders like you to help develop a couple of technologies related to recirculating water systems, which operate at a higher level than the ones you've seen. Here's why they're better: (1) HIGH PURITY WATER - The recirculating water system prototype I built was able to filter water and make it relatively pure , equivalent to distilled water. The key filters that make this possible are reverse osmosis and deionization resin (a type of water softener) filters . Other people who make "recirc" systems have filters that operate around 0.5 to 0.1 micron, but they're not suitable for removing chemicals from the water. However, reverse osmosis filters works at .0001 (1/10,000th micron, the size of water molecules), which combined with deionization resin filters are great at removing chemicals. This filtration combo allowed me to recirculate wastewater, not just for taking showers, but I could also do laundry with my system too (water has to be odorless for laundry, water purity is very important). I eventually want to able to produce the purest water possible, comparable to pharmaceutical grade water that's used for making medicine for injection (WFI Standard), more than clean enough so you can drink it and use it with a dishwasher. (2) ZLD (ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE) - Every recirculating water system you've ever seen works well initially, but after some use, the water will have to be emptied out and refilled with fresh water again. Some people can get up to 9 showers on their recirculating system, I got about 3 loads of laundry with my system initially, but they all have the same shortcoming of needing the water to be replaced. In industrial environments, they have a type of recirculating water system that doesn't need the water to be emptied out and refilled with fresh water. This type of system is known as ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge), where you "refresh" or recycle the wastewater (through a form of distillation), so that the water doesn't need to be thrown out. My prototype had that, but it's still a work in progress. (4) CONVERT POOP TO FUEL FOR ELECTRICITY - I've seen some people with incinerator toilets, for example, the video where you had Shaiden Valentine's mothership van with his incinerator toilet. You can take things a step further by not only incinerating the poop, but through a type of "incineration" called pyrolysis, you can convert poop into biogas (similar to propane) and use that to fuel a generator (or burn it for heat). My version that I want to create is called the FART Reactor (Flexible - Anaerobic - Reactor - Technology) that does that, but it will be compact enough for RVs, van builds, boats, off-grid, etc... (5) CIP (CLEAN-IN-PLACE) - As recirculating water systems become more complex, doing maintenance and cleaning them is one of the things that people hate to do. However, in industrial environments, filtration systems clean themselves through a process called CIP (Clean-In-Place). This means that you don't need to take your filters apart to clean them. The system leaves all the filters installed in place as normal, but what it does is it pumps cleaning detergents/solutions into the filters, then it rinses out the filters. All this is automated for you. I want to adopt CIP technology from the industrial world and bring it into recirculating water systems for RVs and van builds too, so that recirc systems can clean themselves automatically. (6) INDUSTRIAL PARTNERSHIP WITH VAN BUILDERS - It's hard to work on this project by myself, so I started reaching out to manufacturers that make the kinds of filters my system needs. I'm trying to convince these companies that people in the RV and vanlife community would buy the kind of recirculating water system I'm talking about, if only the right type of system is made for RVs, van builds, and off-grid use. I want to show these companies that there are people like you who would happily get a system like this, if it was affordable and easy to install. My plan is to collaborate with these companies, make prototypes of the systems we'll need, then have serious van builders that we'll use as test groups for these prototypes (free of charge). I'm hoping I can use someone like you for the test group. Once the R&D phase is done, then the prototypes can be converted into mature products for everyone else to buy. But before we can get to that point, I'll need to get the support of a handful of well known van builders, so I can show there's some serious interest for the kind of system I'm making. That's why I wanted to reach out to you and other van builders. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

The craftsmanship is awesome. The design of the interior seems bulky, heavy, and not open enough for a 170. Field vans and Elementum Vans have the best open floor and function design IMO.

As an automotive electrical engineer I applaud the ability to fit that much battery in a camper van, but would like to remind the audience that you only buy as much battery as you need for your adventure. Swimming in excess battery is bad for your bank account, the environment, characteristics of the vehicle etc. While I'm considering my own camper DIY my first objective is to have a bill of materials with mass comparison on every decision made so that the conversion weighs as little as possible, leaving maximum extra loading for when needed and to save fuel when not needed.

I bought a Rexing M2 Dashcam which didn't really have a Bluetooth hookup. I bought it through Best Buy ended up returning it before trying to set it up. I emailed the manufacturer and Rexing said I would have probably had more luck with the "Rexing M2 Max" Bluetooth or other remote options, I'm not sure if it did have the option to be viewed from a external cell phone but that's what I was looking. Both the "M2" and the "M2 Max" or a dash cam clip-on rear view mirror assembly with a remote backup camera Since my van already has an independent backup camera I was going to try to hook the very small backup camera on a clip above the side door have a strategically so I can cover the back door and sort of the blind spot while driving. Is there some special wiring that hooks up to the back of late so I was just going to probably hook up Google DC collection there so I can use the backup camera to cover my passenger side door. If only thing like this was possible the "M2 Max" special order to the manufacturer unlike the basic "M2" available through Best Buy.

In my case I do have the partition between the cab in the back is the van (Medium Roof Ford Transit with Solar panel roof rack) was really a cargo van and I never added any Extra Windows to it and I carry a musical equipment with me that I don't want to have too easily rifled through.

This is an amazing design. So much functionality and flexibility retained but it's also gorgeous at the same time. The typical "compromises" aren't even felt in this design. The middle section (kitchen) leaves area for even some customization to suit your individual tastes/needs.
