DIY: Airsoft Suppressor for $10

Hey Airsofters this is a tutorial on how to make an airsoft suppressor for about 10 dollars. All the supplies can be bought at a local hardware store. Please Read below before you start commenting. Here are the list of the materials:
-1 1/2" PVC Pipe
-1 1/4" Insulation Foam Tube
-End Cap that fits the 1 1/2" PVC Pipe
-Sharpie
-Clear Medium PVC Cement Glue
-PVC Cutter/Hack Saw
-Ruler
-Spray paint

That insulating foam is too dense in its foam to absorb the soundwaves, thats why you get the amplifying sound that you mention at the end. To get this to work better you need to drill holes through the foam, "make it look like swiss cheese" or slice it into rings which you stack with for example corrugated cardboard everyother ring. Then you create absorbing parts which will dampen sound more efficently. Otherwise a great low budget idea of a silencer!

If you sand down the end so there are no cut marks it helps a lot

I had these laying around back then, but yes it is more than 10 bucks. You can use anything to paint on it though
