DIY BABY DOLL DRESS | Beginner friendly sewing tutorial

Hi everyone,
Welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Jess and I love doing DIY, making clothes in a "simply but pretty" way.
In today's video, I'm going to share with you how I made my baby doll dress from scratch. This dress is very cute and super comfy. It's easy to make with by following my detail step by step tutorial. So I hope you will like it and try it out.
To make this DIY, please check out my basic information below:
- Sewing machine: Merrit Joyful Sewing
- Material: 2.5m of cotton fabric
- My body measurements: 82-64-92cm. I'm 165cm tall and usually wear Small size.

I keep seeing comments about how easy this is... I wonder what level of "beginner" I really am (is there an "infant" level?)... this looks like a lot of steps for a beginner sewer.. Regardless, this is still super aspirational for an "infant" sewer like me!

If you have a sewing machine and get use to using it with basic projects before. You can try this one. It's easy and beginner friendly as it doesn't require too much technique in term of making the pattern like a tailor. But the result is still very cute and wearable.

It is actually really simple with the technical skills that you need 🫶🏻 but don’t worry I have failed making this dress because i have never worked without a paper pattern🥹🥲

This is such a cute cozy dress. And it'll hide so much🤭 Also I love how Jess puts propper pockets in all her pieces. We love outfits with big functional pockets. Thank you so much for sharing. P.S I love how she actually wears her previous makes in her videos.

@@JessDangDIY I tried to make it but it's very tight in the waste area. I think it's better to depend on the waste width instead of the shoulders width in the upper top width. But thank you very much for the beautiful patterns and the big offer 🌸 best channel in KZfaq 🌸

I just wanted to thank you for your tutorials, they are so cute, simple to follow and not overwhelmingly complicated 🙌❤️ I've made several dresses from this particular video and they all turned out so amazing 😍 it got me excited and more confident in my abilities, all thanks to you 🙏 this dress is easy to whip up in a day and the result is super comfy, cute and easy to wear and adjust size wise 😊 I'm making one for my sister right now, who is pregnant at the moment and needs something, that'll still fit comfortably in a few weeks 😊

I discover this channel by accident (and this video) because i click on it by mistake. I find the dress cute and because I'll start in September to sew with a machine I give a chance to the video. Well I'm impressed! It's seems pretty easy (except when she make the thing at the end of the sleeves I don't know the name it's seems difficult). I need a dress for a wedding in June 2023 I think I'll made this dress it's so cute and my mother in law we'll be really happy to see that she boost my motivation for sewing my own clothes and that she help me with my passion more than anyone ! (She deserves the world !!!)

Just finished making my own baby doll dress, I love it! Easy to follow instructions although I found attaching the cuffs the right way round to the sleeves a bit tricky but got there eventually with a few attempts! Made it using a polycotton this time and I'm thinking of making another one in linen :D

I made this dress and I absolutely LOVE it, if you've got a M-L size bust, I would recommend lengthening the square and arm panels by about an inch!

Im a beginner sewer and i thought that this tutorial would be difficult but if you take it one step at a time its really not too hard!! I love how my dress turned but i would recommend using a thin fabric so that the skirt part is not too puffy. Either way I ❤ my dress!! Thank you so much for making this tutorial!! ☺️
