This is nice! I wonder if I can anchor these in large planters to create a privacy fence for my patio? All my utility lines are below ground so I would be afraid to dig holes.

I think you can! If your area is windy, i'd also suggesting adding a post behind the lattice fence.

Nice idea. What happens if there's a wind? Will they stay up pretty good. Other is it would look really nice if you painted the blocks, maybe a gray... :)

I wonder about wind too. I'm thinking to put them into cinder blocks with cement?

We thought about painting the bricks so we powered washed them, but got distracted with other projects :). They are actually doing pretty well in the past year even in strong wind days. If you're worried about falling, i'd suggest installing posts behind and attach them to the posts.
