I've seen you do several homes and do it with really expensive decor and furniture and rugs and everything else, but it was always for somebody else's home. It is so amazing to finally be able to see you do this for nobody but yourself, your home and your life! I'm one of your older viewers, just turned 51 so I'm not that old... But I am so freaking happy and proud of you I have a daughter about your age who is out of country has been since she was 18 and she's now 33. So I don't get to see her life she's in the military has been her whole life. But to watch you do you and do what you do so well and know that it's all for you! And for your girls and for friends and for people who just plain love you, just brings tears to my eyes with joy and happiness! Omg this is gorgeous . Maybe you could do screen roller blinds that you can anchor down or roll up when you want . If you go a dark color , you can see through them better. I am loving this series . ❤️❤️❤️

I like how respectful you are to the original owners. I watch a lot of DIY stuff and sometimes people who renovate are very free with words like "disgusting" and it always bums me out. Like, there's a good chance that the original owner was proud of that particular paint color or design choice. I get kind of secondhand hurt feelings when the renovator denigrates someone else's work. Love the shade room makeover. Rustic isn't my favorite aesthetic and I'm more of a forest than a desert person, but I want to hang out here. It feels serene, homey, and playful at the same time. Love the vanity in the bus and the bed frame you made in the last episode, as well. And the bench! :)

I lived there for more than twenty years, it’s got charm but it’s hidden. You have to go looking for it, everyday a treasure hunt. From the sand verbena that blooms in the bare patches during spring, to the amazing sunrises. Breathtaking. What I love most is hearing your excitement and watching everything you’re doing. OMG. Another fantastic makeover. Love how the shade room turned out; it's awesome how the elements you created/used are perfect in this situation...the vibe makes sense. Too often, people use elements that totally make sense in their natural setting, and try to make them "trendy", and use them where it doesn't make sense (or they overload a room with too many of those elements). It's done with farmhouse, beachy, industrial, boho, and many culturally influenced styles. People end up with houses that look staged, like an Epcot display.
