DIY BEW PD Tuning: Creating and flashing your own custom tune

So a couple months ago we did a comparison for power adders (diode mod up to custom tuning) on a stock BEW TDI, one of the "middle of the road" tune options was a custom tune/file I wrote myself. Today we're just going over software, hardware and what I physically edited.

You are using Lsuite for checksum? But it does not list your EDC16 there. How do you know Lsuite does your checksum ok? MPPS should auto checksum your file when writing. Which MPPS version are you using? Does it say checksum is corrected by program when writing the file?

I love this video, I am all ready tuned by Tunezilla and didn't want to mess with my daily driver. But this video explains the in and out of how tuning is and appreciate on learning about it.

@@JoshsJettasthanks for the upload I've been subscribed since I came across your channel ,I got a question for you though when I look at mpps or kess it says you need a XP operating system I know your obviously on a newer version of Windows how do you get the file to edcmaster for editing do you save the file and upload it to the website I'm just a little confused on that unless I'm over complicating it

@@shotgunsmurf5740 hey sorry I read this reply but forgot to reply, yes I’m using windows 10 with it fine. You read the file and save it to your laptop. Then import the file from your laptop to the editing software.

curious as to what “DW Selector” is. assuming it means drivers wish selector, i wonder if SOTF could be possible.

You mentioned why a tune costs so much, because someone already took the time. Would love to do it myself. But without a dyno, it is mostly guess work.

Exactly, you can get a little more power with stock stuff safely, but ones bigger turbos and stuff gets involved you better know what your doing
