Some more tips for camping: -- For the poo bucket, bring sawdust or powdered lawn lime to keep down the smell. Sprinkle it in after every go. Dry sand can also work if you don't have other options. Also, put a weight at the bottom of the bucket before you put the bag/liner in. --If you have access to electricity, instead of bringing an iron (unless you're planning on ironing clothes, I guess?) bring an electric skillet instead. You can cook grilled cheese, pasta, eggs, steak, or even pizza in it. Also good for just boiling water to make tea/coffee or clean/wash up with. --To help find your tent site, attach a kite to the end of a long spare tent pole and zip-tie it to one of the awning poles. --Spread hay under your tent. Gives you a bit more cushion and can help keep damp/condensation from coming through the bottom of the tent. Also less dirt to clean off when you go to pack up. If hay isn't available, a heaped pile of dried leaves will do the trick. Avoid moss, while it is soft it's also very wet and can make condensation issues worse. --If you couldn't find "shower in a bottle" in the camping section, strong mint or pine needle tea can work in a pinch for washing yourself up with. There's also several varieties of common plants/weeds that make "mild cleansing suds" when crushed and swished in water, consult a field guide for identification and local options.

This video is back! It’s interesting to see this since it was before the trauma you both had to deal with. Last time I watched this video (when it came out in 2019) life was good. Now a year later my dad has suddenly passed away. I’m so glad you were able to save Rob. I wish I could have done the same for my dad.

I like the camp set up, I personally would love it, especially with the fairy lights, but the 4 post umbrella tent shelter would not survive in New Zealand conditions no matter how many stakes you used, if you are lucky you may find it a few blocks away within a few days (we sometimes have this problem with trampolines) I look forward to your summer camping vids.

So a few camping things my hubby and I do are to lay down a tarp underneath your tent to prevent the moisture from the ground from seeping up into your tent. We will also use super large tarp to cover the tent instead of the rain cover when it rains. Also we rake the ground under the tent for sticks and rocks even though we sleep on an air mattress.

I actually liked all the hacks some were actually cool and wanna try some this summer- but coffee alternative would be instant coffee, less waste too!

Tarps are also a necessity. Put one under tent and stake. Then, take clothesline and clothespins, string the line around and across the pop up legs (criss cross) then take tarp and atrach via pins. Slope it so rain can drip to back, off tarp or it'll possibly fall on tent. Will keep you double dry. We've done rough(no power) festival camping for 2+ weeks at a time, and it ALWAYS rains. Works, plus helps keep shade for a bit cooler days

For the bucket portapotty, you can take some saw dust to cover the smell. I recommend you go to a local hardware store and pick some up if you don’t have any at home. It’s popular in tiny houses since it doesn’t take up too much space and avoids using water. Happy camping!

A few years ago I went with a few friends on a camping trip and we did the eggs in a bag trick, except we added a bunch of ingredients such as cheese and other basic omelette ingredients. :)

Camp stoves exist and you can bring them to Bonnaroo. Electricity is only as available as you make it, so unless you have a generator or large power cell, grilled cheese and eggs are off the table. At least the way they have prepared them. Freeze all your water and get some dry ice, pop that in your cooler now you have cold water and basically a fridge. We bring temperature sensitive food every year and it keeps iust fine. Easy-ups are necessary for the sun situation moreso than rain. (We have had severe weather at Bonnaroo before, but it is rare.) It is incredibly hot at Roo and their tent scenario looks terrible for it tbh. I recommend a cot or some other sleeping situation that isn't touching the ground. Bonus points if you have a battery powered fan and can get some airflow underneath the cot. If you're lucky to be camped near trees, a hammock is amazing. If you have to do something direct to ground, an air mattress is most comfortable. I never use my camp potty. The portos are usually close and clean and easier to deal with than fiddling with a bucket in the dark. That being said, get a headlamp in case you have to do things at night. Print and laminate a small copy of the schedule, they hand you a paper one when you drive in, but it will get destroyed with sweat/water/general fest grossness and you don't want to waste your phone battery on looking up set times. Hopefully this info helps! Sorry Threadbanger, but y'all missed the mark with this one.
