i have a question and i don't know if there's anyone here who can answer it but if i want to get into clay art (for the first time ever, apart from art class) should i use polymer clay or air dry clay? i know what the difference between them is but i don't know which one would be better to work with ^^

It really depend on what you want to make! I make a lot of jewelry, and I use polymer clay. It can get pricey for big projects, so for things like vases, dishes, etc, I would recommend air dry. I would by a small amount of each just to see what you like. Hope this helps!

Hi there! Depending on the clay you use, you might have to bake it in the oven, or just let it air dry. Check the packaging of you clay!

@@dwerfism1910 Sorry for the late reply! To make the final product more un breakable, I would seal it with a varnish. I use Mod Podge (sold almost everywhere) or there are also specially made sealants for clay. However they can get expensive so I just use Mod Podge. You basically just paint it on and it will dry clear. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions as well!

Hi! It's definitely good to make earrings with! They will be a bit more brittle, but as long as you're not purposely trying to break them theyll be fine. Basically they'll hold up to everyday wear and tear!

@@Immistzy HI, sorry for the late response! For a figure I would use any type of air dry clay. For a mirror like the first one in this video, I've used Crayola model magic clay. You can also find other brands by typing "colorful air dry clay" on amazon! Hope this answers your question!

Depends on the clay you use! If you use air dry, you have to wait a couple days till it drys. If you use oven bake, you just follow the instructions on the clay packaging!

Definitely not a dumb question! You should paint it after it's baked, otherwise the paint will crack from the heat!
