Chris, you have so made my day! It's been a tough few weeks with work, and my boss (who is also a good friend) lost her mother unexpectedly at the relatively young age of 65. My face lit up when your email about this bag pattern hit my inbox, and as soon as I got home from work I bought it☺ I haven't done any quilting for a while, and love that you can use it on this pattern. Thank you Emma :) Oh I am so sorry to hear things have been tough and your friend lost her mother.....thats never easy but especuially hard when so young. I do hope you will share some pics when you are done! I'm not a quilter and have really done minimal (Mainly because I am scared I will get HOOKED on quilting and not get many bags done lol) but I really had a ball quilting this bag!

I recently made my first hidden pocket and I also thought that it took me way too long to make it. 😂 I'm more used to zipper pockets. Hopefully, we'll get better with practice. 😊

Oh poop. Practice does make perfect though! The technique is super easy in this bag, and you can watch the video too, so I am sure you will do just fine with this one! :)

Thanks so much Ingrid. it suits a wide variety of fabrics but it is dependant a bit on wether you are sewing on a domestic or industrial but it is absolutely doable on a domestic with the right choice of materials :) If you need any help with choices, shoot me an email! :)

I purchased the pattern. Question, does the front have a pocket in front of the zippered pocket.

Hi Peggy, many thanks for your purchase! There is a zippered pocket hidden behind the front trim, a main zippered compartment (with the unique no gap zipper closure method) and an interior zoipper pocket inside of the main compartment. There is also a quick access phone pocket at the back. :)
