its just like a Dremel its probably some rotary tool similar, but there are alot of bits on something like that that you could use to do it,

Can someone explain to me how the cyvist jeans are frayed so thick? Or just how to make denim fray thickly, is it the type of denim, is it what's done to the denim? I know anytime I expose raw denim and wash it it does thicken up, but nowhere near as thick as I'd like it to be.
