The reason why people like me charge over 1200, 1500 a set, is because we don't use bottom of the barrel LED and supplies. And we use LEDs that you can actually see in the daytime. A blueghozt controller alone costs more than all your materials that you used in this light setup.

I admit to profiling you guys. I thought because of your age, you were going to be modding out imports, and turning them into rolling light shows. There's nothing wrong with that, but I just have a fairly plain pickup, and want to do the headlights. Then I noticed you were working on a pickup, and just doing the headlights. you can just splice wire to extend them and many build sites sell extentions and ebay sellers just searst "3 wire jst connector extensions"

How can you get the strip to default to white without having to connect to the box and turn it on white manually? Like on a newer car when you turn it on the drl's stay white. I don't want to have to turn it on and connect everytime I drive to set them to white. Thanks!!

Yes you only need 1 although I'd recommend 2 to prevent voltage drop 1 for each headlight

So I have a question. What if the lights I want to modify are 3 areas. Can I add more strips to the controller box?? Or does it have to be only 1 light strip?

1 problem you will face using ws2812b leds is they hate heat and the inside of headlights get hot and the leds stop working after a few months

Why do you need converter from 12v to 5v. The RGB box controller design to handle voltage from 5v-24v input.

You can't compare what you did with what they make. You just controller it with your remote. What they do is integrated into your car. Into your turn signals and brake. I'm trying to fish mine and doing it like they do is hard. Just throwing 2nstrips in there anyone can do but try wiring 20/20 led that have 2 colora on them and wire them switchback amd sequential at the same time when you're using your turn signal. Not hitting your lights are cool but you bought them like that. Wire up some sequential into your oem turn signal then you can talk about you saved 1500.

the controller is 5V~24V so it should work from 5 to 24V why u used the Power converter....? it will work on 12V too !!

But they are not linked into the cars headlight system or active indicators ..thats what a proper custom light should do just plug them in and run from standard controls
