Hey Everyone,
Hope all is well...
A bit of a different video (as well as a change for me, lol). In this episode I build a 4x8 Elevated Deer Stand / Hunting Blind (or Tree Fort) in the woods! Hope you guys enjoy... lots of new videos to come!

We’re Dayna & David and we're excited to share our homestead journey with you. We currently own a home on a 1/4 acre in a suburb of Pennsylvania & have been trying to maximize usage of our small plot to it’s fullest potential. In 2016, after dreaming for years of owning enough land to live a more simple and sustainable, self sufficient lifestyle, we acquired 18 Acres & began the journey of building our future homestead! Our land is quite far from where we currently reside which limits our trips to the property to once a month or so. For the time being we post new videos (or at least try, lol) once a month with updates on how things are moving forward, our pits and peaks as well as sharing all the priceless info we’ve learned from the amazing channels we subscribe to here on KZfaq. Nice stand, camo cloth or netting around the top would make a decent wind break, good chair, umbrella and you're set

Thanks John, much appreciated!! Hoping to make a few adjustments to the stand this year & add another one a few hundred feet further into the property now that I've seen where the deer like to run thru. Also, thanks for letting me know we showed up in your recommended list... I wasn't sure we'd ever get pushed by YT since we're a little less frequent than other channels, lol. Great job! The canvas covered with dirt and mud made a world of difference for concealing you and any movement.

Hoping to maybe put a little roof over the stand at some point to help keep the rain & snow out, but all in all it's been pretty nice to have... and my niece's & nephew's love playing in it the rest of the year, lol. Best tree stand ever ! Too many stands nowadays are like condos. Not even hunting with roof, heater, insulation and cook stoves. Keep it simple as it should be.

Good job with left over lumber. I am a bit spoiled with a Muddy Blinds but what you did certainly blends in. I have two high end blinds near my barn that are good in any weather. However, a few stands like yours in the woods would be great when the deer are more in the woods after the first few days of hunting.

Awesome job! Looks great. Perhaps some OSB around the upper box with your painted on camo design. Give you a bit of a wind break and some more cover.

Hey IBH, hope all is well... Nothing yet out of the stand, but I've seen a ton from up there. Let a few go & this year I've only sat a few times while I'm trying to finish up a couple projects before the winter really hits us. Hoping that in the future it ends up being a good spot all around. There's still time with bow season so here's hoping for this year still! Happy holidays & thanks for checking out the channel/video, much appreciated!!

Hey Paul, camo netting would be great! I think at the time I was low on funds, 🤪. Maybe with the camo netting I would've been a bit more successful this past season, lol!
