I know that these days facades are "fading out" but, I can't afford a Bunn booth or anything even similar to that, so THIS right here is what I'll be making, since I'm a new DJ. This is the best one I've seen on DIY facade. It's not overly complicated if you have a little woodworking know-how; it looks like it's light and probably fairly easy to put together before a gig. A little more time consuming than a 6ft table and cloth, but that doesn't look near as good as yours. Wish you would have given a little more direction, but most of it is self explanatory and your little helper did a great job explaining; good job young lady. And thank you, sir, for the fantastic and creative DJ facade.

Great unique design and looks really really cool and professional so credit and I wish I'd thought of something like this when making mine but it seems a bit time consuming to assemble imo

Made custom diamond shapes to cover the open spaces. (Mounting style) something like velcro so it may come on off easily.

Looks already great, LED strips are also a nice idea, but to get the maximum out of that design, get a projector and map it. It will look sweeeeeeeet. nicely done though!

The design is very unique! One of the best I’ve seen. Thanks for the video. One question for you. Have you thought about lining each hexagon with 4 color Led strip lighting? You wouldn’t have to use all those par lights. It would look really cool!! Just a thought. It’s great just as is.

My thoughts as well. Have 1 LED strip (addressable) per hexagon and you could make some crazy effects with external DMX control

As I was watching the video and the comments and this is what was going through my mind: Near the end of the video he is standing behind the facade and I assume he is maybe 5'8" tall so that facade may be around 5feet tall or so. If we assume is 5ft tall then is 60" tall. Divided by 3 hexagons high so each hexagon may be about 20" from bottom edge to the top one. Or about 10" radius approx. I like the way it looks man! I noticed that by doing all the separate pieces the same dimensions, when you put them together some sides look wider than others because of the frames. Maybe you could add those extra wood pieces to make every hexagon look the same side width everywhere. And I am thinking what about if you put hinges or small black bungee cords every other side of the panel to make an accordeon kind of fold for easier setup and storage. You can even use thin pieces of cardboard between the folds to prevent them from scratching the paint. And add 2 small half hexagons at the bottom to conceal what you may setup behind. I thank you for the great idea and I hope you don't find my comment insulting. I am just brainstorming about it.. thanks man.

What’s the dimensions of the the hexagon
@guyhermanson30025 жыл бұрын
It's quite the piece of art but not practical as a mobile DJ facade. I'm not trying to discourage you but it takes too much time and effort to setup and dismantle. It's not hiding the lights or cables well enough on the ground and it doesn't look like you use any feet to keep the bottom from scratching and staying level on uneven ground. Not all venues will be perfectly level. Nice looking build though.
