I am voting for a tie. I like the color scheme of the walls and the big window in the first video and the bookcases and the fireplace of the second house.

I always loved built in bookshelves! Always loved windowed rooms too! I loved the black walls and windows the most so I choose room 1 but both are so homey

I like elements of both. I could see the palladian window directly opposite of the wall with the shelves and fireplace. The two windows on the back wall. Finally, furnish the room with the furniture in the second challenge.

I have to say both rooms are equally inspirational, both designs are well thought out and executed. If I have to choose...I would choose the first video, for the traditional classic look and black and white color scheme. Thank you both so much for the time and thoughtfulness you've put into your videos, always a pleasure to see a video pop up on my feed.

I grew up with a beautiful living room that had built in alcoves so I really like that about this build, we had flagstone around our fireplace and dark wood beams in the ceiling in a tic tac toe pattern. As kids my sister's and I would lay in the floor and play imaginary tic tac toe on the ceiling. It needs a window though, I'd put it in the wall behind the chairs.

It's card stock so its thicker then printer paper. I picked mine up at Micheals

I loved both videos- You and your mother are very talented craftists. It was a very hard decision to chose which I liked best. Your living room is traditional and modern combined. While your mother's living room was more traditional. I was looking for a timeless look to determine who designed the better living room. I love the shelves and fireplace of your living room. That’s the way my mom likes to do it. The last room I did I glued them down first and I thought it was so much faster. I guess we are learning as we go. 😄
