I made that kit. I furnished it like a Victoria era farmhouse complete with vegetable patch, greenhouse, stables, and barnyard. It was fully wired for lights. It took me a year and a half to complete. Spent well over a $1000 on it to make it perfect. It was beautiful.......then, one day when it was fully done and on display, i was doing the laundry and my kids got to it and broke it and all of the furniture inside of it. Had to trash the whole thing. Moral of the story, dont build one of these kits if you have small children. They will think its a toy and try to play with it no matterhow much you tell them its not a toy. My kids are older now, so i think it might be safe to get back into miniatures. Pray for me and my dollhouses lol.

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry that happened! I have a toddler and he loves playing with it even though it's nowhere near done. I built him his own little dollhouse to play with so he keeps his hands out of mine but it's not working lol. He loves messing around in the kitchen and has broken several pieces. It's okay though- things can be replaced and a happy childhood is my focus for now :)

I love dollhouses . Could you maybe show us how to do a dollhouse in 1:6 scale for Barbie dolls next time ? I can't stand store bought dollhouses, because they're mostly just empty frames . I had 1 when I was a kid, and I always wondered, " If Barbie came to life ( in the same height she was created), would she feel comfortable living here ? I felt the same way about her furniture and her vehicles . So, I've always dreamed of making a deluxe dollhouse for Barbie with all the modern conveniences of a real house . I plan to make a dollhouse that has at least 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, huge kitchen and dining room and a deluxe wash room basement and entertainment center, complete with a pool table, a gameroom section for her kids, ping pong table and a Japanese style snack and drink machine and a microwave .
@rosesanderson4625
@rosesanderson4625 Жыл бұрын
I'm entertaining the idea of a full 1:6 dollhouse and it's not something you really see. I think the biggest reason is just sheer size of the finished product. Most people don't have the space for a house double the size of a regular dollhouse.

I’ve had a growing addiction to minis over the past 15 years and have completed several projects I’m proud of following instructions and customising some store bought minis. I have watched every tutorial you have and you are by far the best at providing tips at “kit bashing” as I do not typically follow kit guidelines either. I love your tool links and have purchased several of your suggestions. Some things I already had on hand. My next purchase is the resin printer and finish kit. The 3d printer has brought my 15 yr old daughter back into my passion for minis. Thank you so much for your simple, yet thorough aids! Can’t wait for your next tutorial!

My mom and I built a Victorian style “life size” doll house. It was beautiful!! Had to glue the roof pieces on, make the floor, paint it, the whole nine. Everything that went into the house was wooden. It was a navy blue color, white, and gold. Gosh, it was gorgeous. I ended up donating it when I got older. I just had to watch this because it’s the complete opposite of the one we built and wanted to see how you do things.

I loved seeing your nails change throughout the video. You have some serious skill! The craftsmen ship it takes to put this together is enough for this to be impressive. But as a whole it's amazing! You have such an eye for design and your creativity is off the charts. You should be extremely proud of yourself for creating something like this!
