I did something very similar on a 2001 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. It has a 3 to 1, 3 to 1 stainless steel header, custom y pipe/up pipe, heavily modified 96-98 intake, Edelbrock head, small Comp Cam that is bigger than stock and a single turbo. It's running 9psi of boost. The power from 2k to 5k is amazing. Haven't had it on a dyno to know exactly what the power is. It easily out accelerates my 15 Silverado that has smaller tires and better gear splits in the transmission.

We split a 302 block on the dyno right at 800hp. It split right down the middle. It was at 15lbs of boost. Then we made some braces in the lifter valley and a better girdle and it lived after that boost level and it went in a customer’s fox body and ran 9.0’s and 8.90’s for about 2 years before he changed the set up.

Lil late here hehe, I'm from outside of USA and in my country there is no easy way of fabricating this as the culture here isn't as diy and really there aren't much Sport cars or at least sub 2000 there are quite exotic, for some reason mustangs are quite the easy find but almost all are 2.3l o que 3.8 not 5.0 so aftermarket and classic car people here see them as a 🦄 and prices are super high but anyway back to the point You could actually sell a kit with all of the components for building this kit and people in the us or outside the us as me that just want the complete pack bought and shipped directly to your house through Amazon or eBay, and most importantly in this cases, to get things that works and have been done by a guy that has all well documented and is experimented so can give grate instructions and visual guide as this video. Could be some packages like light NA Bolton's, full NA Bolton's, Full NA and turbo, and for the guys out there that look for the nitrous or methanol injection a stand alone pack, ash the fox body and 93-95 sn95 engine bay is the same it can be cross gen and would get a lot of support in the international community as you seem of what you're talking about (let's not forget tuning you could give a file with the turbo kit or as a separate) So people can build as they have the money or enjoy the process, have a trusted source and you make some bucks in the process (please don't try to get rich with the kit the exchange rate for dollars in my country is very high and a fully prepared car costs an eye, don make it an eye, a kidney, the other eye and the other kidney 🥺) Love your content sorry for my English, hope to hear what you think 👍🏽

Richard, Great video as always. Quick Question. You refer to the XE274HR Cam and say it's one of your favorites for the SBF. I'm looking to rebuild my tired old 254K mile 302 in my 90 Fox Convertible. I like the stock cam drivability when compared to my other cars running various Ford alphabet cams. Even the mild E303 tends to be unhappy at anything below 1500rpm and causes the car to buck at low speeds. We have tracked every vacume line and seal on the motor to ensure all is correct and we just can't get rid of the bucking. Would the XE274HR have the same bucking issues as the E303? If so, what cam have you seen out there that would give near stock drivability and idle while making a little more power?
@richardholdener17273 жыл бұрын
try the smaller 258, or 264 cams-there are 2 258 cams-one is high lift

Ok, so we talked about splitting blocks in your last Ford video. Now I'm curious, we know torque is the enemy, especially at lower RPMs, can you make *more* power NA by winding the motor high? Can you, or have you, made 600HP NA with a 302? That's 120HP/l, which I would have thought is unobtanium with a pushrod motor until recently, but I think with the right combo you could do that.
