DIY Exhaust on Jeep Gladiator

I wanted to build my own exhaust for the gladiator and I think it turned out great! Tune along if it’s something you would like to do to your rig.
Parts used:

I got exact same Gladiator.. color and all... Yours sounds extremely close to my Borla Xtreme... and prolly cost 1/2 what I paid... Good Job! My favorite part is gunning it from a dead stop at the intersections where the panhandlers work... Keeps them on their toes!

Good to know if the highway drone isn't too bad even without a resonator. I think I'm going to do something similar but keep the front res and just straight pipe it back from there. Cool tone for a garden variety pentastar v6. And for me with a stick, will make it easier to hear revs for shifting ha

I did a muffler delete on my JLU. Sounds good but drones on the highway. I ended up putting the muffler back on

I plan on just straight piping my gladiator but leaving the final little resonator on.

You'll get a check engine light if you do that, you need some back pressure.

I have removed the suitcase muffler and the little end muffler, no check engine light

I wish you would have ran the straight pipe after the muffler clear back to the tail to see what that sounded like. That is what I want to do.

How was the drone house in the cab? Sounds good from the outside.

It's not bad to me. But it's definitely a personal preference. I like a low rumble to be heard. And if I don't want to hear it I will turn up the radio.

Did you replace the air box to cold air intake which I have been learning changes the sound more than exhaust believe it or not.

I wonder if that changes the temps on your rear axle oil.

I doubt it. The exhaust would have to heat up a lot of steel on the rear of the diff to even heat the oil. Plus while you’re driving air is cooling the diff. And in this setup the exhaust tip is closer towards the driver tire and about 18” forward of the axle. I bet it doesn’t affect temps at all

Looks like a "cherry bomb" muffler........ you didn't list it ??

I thought I saw the catalytic converter during the exhaust removal. I didn’t see it during the install. Are they not required in AZ or was I wrong and it wasn’t the catalytic converter?

Catalytic converter is still there. The pipe removed has two or three mufflers on it. The cat is still before all of that.
