DIY Fix Samsung Washer - Vibration Sensor - Error Code 8E1
This video walks through the replacement of the washer vibration sensor on a Samsung Washer model # WF45H6300A or WF45H6100A. It also shows how to enter the diagnostic or quick test mode to identify if the washer is reporting an error code.
We noticed that our washer stopped mid-cycle with about 17 minutes remaining -- just before the rinse portion of the cycle. The drum stopped turning and the display continued to show 17 minutes remaining as if the cycle was still operating. However, it would stay that way indefinitely and without any warning or beep. Also, the door latch would unlock despite the cycle still being active. When checking the diagnostic or quick test mode, the washer reported error code 8E1. The culprit in this case was the washer vibration sensor.
It is part # DC93-00278D Assy Module MEMS Sensor. (This replaces previous part # DC92-00354A.)
