You really need to strip the coating before clamping. Also you need to put the saddle of the clamps on the long part of the cable not on the terminated end. The clamp next to the loop is correct. The other one is not. After you changed it, you put them all on wrong. Torque the nuts to 4.5 ft. lbs. for 1/8" cable (the actual size of the steel cable w/o the coating). You can get hurt doing it this way.

I recently changed my cable it was set up with the same kind of clamps you used here, I bought the 3/16" cable 3/16" thimbles & used 1/4" aluminum sleeves, I kept the plastic on the cable once I routed cables through the aluminum sleeves I just used a hammer to smash them down on the cable they look better done this way without the small clamps sticking out even though my other cable only had one it never slipped for the years I had used it but much happier with my set up now.

Thank you so much for this video. Got a pully system that came with an adjustment kit and no explanation or instructions on how to put it together. Your video helped me out. Thank you.

Sounds like you need some WD-40 or something on your pulleys so that they don't crackle so much and they'll roll a lot better with the cables on them, your machine will be a lot smoother then, just put some WD-40 on the top of all your pulleys every couple months maybe.
