This video is about building a UV resin curing station for 3D resin printers. It includes a turn table with a countdown timer. Technically you could cure any UV resin with this unit.
In there video I mention that I use 15meters of led's, that is incorrect. I use 5M length or 15' of Led's. My apologies about that.

Super cool video. Had no idea there was 1/2" foam core. Totally forgot you did a microwave turn table. I just built another one. Mahalo for sharing! 🙂🐒

Cool design, Eric! Although the slap on the door to act as a "light seal" is a wee bit superfluous, especially seeing as it wasn't even silvered. And being able to see if the light's on inside from the outside is always useful. And "Whoo!" for the goal!

Very interesting video. If I didn't have a UV curing station I'd attempt to make one, like the design.

i keep planning on building one of these, but with how messy the resin printing is i just dont have a space to really use the printer i bought years ago...so i never got around to building one of these. though i'll add apparently the resin doesn't cure well in oxygen, so if you submerge your piece in propylene glycol (vegetable glycerin) in the cure booth it will cure a lot better. I have just a clear tub with the glycol in it, with a little 3d printed sieve thing for pulling the prints back out that then hangs over the container for letting the glycol drip off. Seemed to work well for the few test prints i did manage to do. whereas the first print i did never seemed to full harden.

I made something similar in 2020 but it's not for 3D prints. Mine is thick walled glass and it is used to purify water. I put the UV lights around the outside facing inward and put aluminum foil around it, then a thick rubber mesh exterior.

ACHTUNG/WARNING: You don't want the UV light strip light hitting your eyes as you're working. It can severely damage your eyes!

Word of warning about microwave turntable motors. I built myself a turntable basically just like yours and later realized those motors actually can get quite hot. Hot enough to melt the foam? I don't know, but I'd keep an eye on it.

This is great. You should do a foamcore airbrush booth next. I made one with a bathroom exhaust fan.

Foam degrades under UV light, so it's reasonable to cover all the internal sides with aluminum cover. I see you did only for sides, upside, but not for bottom and door

Last shot before the goal shows the door covered. Probably should get the bottom covered as well

Hi Eric and Thank you very much for your video, it help me a lot ! I have 2 questions : 1) My university professor name was Strebel too, he is Swiss and your logo look similar to Switzerland, are you Swiss too ? 2) I have a piece of wood (made under CNC) from a friend, we try to make a silicone mold of it, but I really don’t know how to make it. We would like to make the mold in one piece, not puttin silicone in second times (to win time on curing...). I don’t know if you can help me about this situation. I already have 3-4 prototypes, but we want the perfect prototype (for mass production in 2-3 years)

Where did you go to school? Totally have no idea what your question is, but wood is probably not the best material to use as a master unless you seal it and finish it with paint or something. I have several videos on painting and finishing. Yes, very Swiss

@@EricStrebel Neuchatel, to be honest, I have a very very good contact with him. After promotion, we just see that he lived near my village. Of course, if it’s confidential I will delete all my comment., his initial name A.S. For m project, the form is a ice-cream, but the positif is a wooden piece (now I 3D printed the same piece in PETG). But the form is very strange, I can’t find a good solution. Have a nice day, from the Swiss riviera ;). 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭

Not to poke holes in your presentation, but you said that the aluminum foil would prevent the UV from escaping through the walls but then failed to apply the foil to the interior of the door. Did I miss something?

At the very end of the video just before the hockey goal is a shot with foil on the door 😀

I would think white walls would actually reflect better. A diamond pattern mylar would also be good. Otherwise you will get "hot spots" or uneven light distribution.
