This helped me alot! My project is making a jack shaft kit for my 2 stroke 66cc/80cc engine on my bike. Needed a freewheel... luckily I had one off a E-scooter I had laying around. It's doesn't have the gear on it it's just a flat ring with four holes in it. Perfect!

I did this and the problem I encountered was the threaded bearing mount Does not allow the crank arm to egage the square anymore .It sticks too far out. This will only work if you have the room between the crank and the bottom bracket for the bearing mount.Also instead of cutting up the hub. The right side of a bottom bracket bearing cup fits a standard freewheel. So make sure you have the room or the older bottom bracket style axle where the chainring side is longer. BEFORE EVEN CONSIDERING check if you have the clearance first, once you start cutting theres no turning back except to go back to square one and replace the crank to a regular one again.

As an added bonus you can change the rear gears without pedaling.

Sorry, but the cog looks that it is sticking to much, I don't thing you can connect it to the hub without some sort of an extension.

Can you build a 1000/1500w hub motor as mid drive?

Saya sudah coba dan ternyata gk pas di BB. Permasalahannya crank jd terlalu panjang. Perlu teknik supaya crank tetep sesuai ukuran agar as BB bisa nancap pas.Solusi akhirnya saya modif gk pake hub,tp pake mangkokan di gear nya separoh masuk.👍

Oh I realize just now, unfortunately this video about freewheel crank is not effective, he only use tooth freewheel, finally I dislike this video. I suggest it should be TOOTHLESS freewheel to build a handmade freewheel crank, and No Welding. yeah......freewheel with no gear is suggested
