DIY Handheld Gimbal - What do i need?

Ich beschreibe ein wenig was ich gekauft habe und wie ich es gebaut habe. viel spass.
Just a short explanation what i bought and how i build it. Have Fun.

Awsome video man. How much time is the battery runtime? The gimbal work fine with the step up converter? Thank you

i measure around 700mah on my battery if they are full. i use panasonic 3400 right now. my generous calculations say it should work for at least 4 hours. 500mah max on the output side, so the step up converter should have no problem too.

Thank you very much for this video. It was very helpful. I have 2 questions: 1. Is joystick module digital output or analog output type? 2. Can you explain how you connect the wires between the joystick and gimbal?

hi 1. the joystick is analog, not just like buttons 2.the connection is easy. obviously you use the pot connector. ground to ground, +3.3v to 5v (the stick doesnt really need any power) and pin 0 and 1 to vrx and vry.which to which depends on the orientation.the sw for the button to the pin next to +3.3v. everything else just in the settings like you want it to work.

Hi, I've got two qustions as well. 1. Will the cheap joystick they sell on Ebay for Arduinos work with the Storm32 board? The Joystick has a 5v pin, is that gonna be a problem for the ST32 board? 2. What is the Digit display for that you have used in this video? Thanks.

they all should work as they all just 2 potentiometer in the shape of a stick. theyre passive and it doesnt matter to the board. its more a limit for the stick itself.

Super Darstellung.... Mit den Videos von Perle ergibt das ein tolles Gesamtbild! Baue ich nach! Gut, löten kann ich nicht... Konverter, Spannungsanzeige,... spare ich mir... aber den Rest. Das Gimbel habe ich bereits bei GB geordert. Nun quäle ich mich rum, welche Taschenlampe es sein soll... Was ist da wichtig? Die Länge? Welche Akkus/Batterien sollten das mind. sein (2x18650 oder reicht auch nur eine, AA, AAA,...), damit das Gimbal ausreichend lange betrieben werden kann... Bei Amazon und co. haben viele Taschenlampen nur einen 18650er drinne... Fragen über Fragen? Hast Du dazu noch den ein oder anderen Tipp? Danke!

einfache rechnung. 2x 18650 haben nunmal doppelt soviel leistung und somit laufzeit und je grösser der spannungsunterschied im spannungswandler desto schlechter der wirkungsgrad. andere batterien würden natürlich grundsätzlich gehen aber das macht in meinen augen keinen sinn. ansonsten musste so oder so basteln. siehste ja, passt alles rein in die lampe. denke das würde auch irgendwie in die andere lampe reinpassen das ganze. andere lampen? wer weiss ;)

Hey cooles Video :) hat mir sehr geholfen bei der Entscheidung. 2 Fragen hätte ich noch. 1. wo hast du denn den Gimbal geordert wenn man fragen darf? 2. kannst du evtl nochmal auf deutsch erklären wie man den Joystick anschließen muss? 🙈 Danke dir :)

gekauft bei aliexpress. bei wem genau wird dir kaum helfen da die preise dauernd schwanken und auch der billigste anbieter ständig wechselt. anschluss wäre (pot port) masse an masse, 3,3v an 5v, pin 0 und 1 an vrx und vry je nach ausrichtung, sw an den but port pin direkt neben 3.3v.

Hi. Just want to ask what should be the voltage output of the converter? And how do you attach the switch and the converter to the flash coz I don't see any screws? Thanks.

i set it up to 12v but it doesnt really matter. the main point is you dont have to fiddle with the voltage compensation. i put everything in place just with hotglue.

Oh another thing, where did you find that aluminum part that connects the handle to the gimbal and hold the voltmeter? Thanks.

just some random piece i had around. i have a lathe, so no problem to make it the right size.

i dit set it up for 12v in case i want to use it on a copter. thought that would make sense cause its close to 3s and you can downconvert from 4s

Hallo, wie wird der Joystick am Gimbal verdrahtet, so das man die Funktionen ( x/y und Schalter drücken, hält Position, Schalter wieder drücken Gelöst) wie bei PERLE TV zu sehen , denn der hat 6 Drähte angeschlossen. Das DYS Joystick kostet mit Porto 31,24€ und das KY023 7,85€. Das ist ja wohl ein Unterschied. Gruß Horst
