Here's an easy, inexpensive, and decorative way to organize my hats! I like how this kinda gives the illusion of pins hooked on the wall! The good thing about this hat hanger is it's also easily customizable. You can add more or less rope braids or you can use a shorter or longer dowel depending on the space you're working with. You can also easily change up how you want your hats to be arranged since the clothes pins are removable. Your hats keep their shapes, and it only requires two holes in the wall! It also serves as part of your room decor and makes it's easier for you to grab your favorite hat before you walk out the door!
I've been trying to figure out a way how to store and organize my hats. I was just keeping them in my dresser drawers before, but they would get squished once it started getting crowded in there. I've had to toss some hats after they've lost their shapes because I didn't store them properly.
And then for awhile, I had them just stacked in the corner of my bookshelf. It was fine for awhile and I've considered it as part of my room decor. But as my hat obsession grew, it ended up making my room cluttered and unorganized. And it can be cumbersome when I want to wear the hat on the bottom of the stack.
I had to organize this madness. I considered getting a hat rack, but it was one more thing that would be in my room. I would still end up piling them up on top of each other. I didn't really find any good hat racks either. I also searched the internet for DIY ideas on how some people organize their hats. I didn't really find anything that I liked, as most of them required multiple holes on the wall if you want to hang them. Some of them are just hooks where you can stack them, not sturdy enough, doesn't accommodate my wide brim and heavy hats, or the look just didn't match my room decor. So ta-daaa! Here's my version of how I'd store them with my own spin to it.
I hope you enjoyed this DIY tutorial. Please don't forget to share and hit the thumbs up button if you liked it and you'd like to see more DIY videos in the future.
