DIY How To Change Replace Fuel Pump Fuel Pump Housing 2001-2005 Honda Civic LX

This is a video showing how to change or replace the fuel pump and fuel pump housing on a 2002 Honda Civic LX. This process is very similar on a 2001-2005 Honda Civic. Is it safe to take out just the battery? Some people take out the whole little fuse button for the fuel pump

I just made sure the battery was disconnected. You could take out the fuse if you feel safer. Just make sure you're in an open ventilated area. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, commenting, and don't forget to like and subscribe.

How did you put the seal ring on? Did it stretch over top?

I remember I had to use the old one since mine didn't come with it. I just transferred it onto the new part. If and when you buy the replacement part, always compare it to the original. I dont think hand tightening the ring is enough. You will get leaks because it will loosen over time.

According to the Honda dealership it's the fuel pump housing which contains the fuel pump. When I bought it from Autozone they called it the fuel pump housing as well. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, commenting, and don't forget to subscribe.
