I am a newbie at 68, to all the mixed media. I have found myself in a position of needing to make alot of my own EVERTHING. From dyeing papers to making stencils, to stamping and stenciling. I cannot afford to purchase 'pretty kits' and gel pads, and embossing tools. I started typing in a search for how to make my own inks, texture pastes, mod podge, etc. Your videos came up, and I couldn't be happier with what I am learning from you! Thank you, dear heart, for sharing all your knowledge with us from all the experimenting you did to reach this end. Your papers show wonderful results! 😘💞

I did a search for art journals. I watched many different channels many times but yours I watch every day now, while others I only watch now and then. I like your style, your helpfulness, that you are not affiliated with any brand, that you are not pushing all the latest embossing tools or the latest gel pens or water colors. I like your voice, and I also like it when you show choices that didn't go quite as planned, but you record anyway and let us watch as you work your way through the roadblock.

I don't remember, but it can only be an act of god when I needed it the most. You are informative, inspirational, interesting to watch. a moneysaver and much, much more. Thank you

Thank you for all the helpful hints. I'm just getting started in junk/art/ collage Journaling. My eye is always on the look out for found objects to print with. I grew up in 60s and 70s where we made use of existing things. Also worked in early childhood education, yes, we definitely used a variety of things to help enhance the creative learning experience. Not sure how I found your site. Must have been a thumb nail that caught my eye. I love your sense of humor. Paint pages on boring ugly paper, the "cheap" store. But mostly your attitude on it doesn't matter if you make mistakes, it's the creative process that counts. Thanks again for allowing me to ramble.

The first thumbnail I saw was the colourful paper you made from paper napkins and when I clicked on it, I discovered your wonderful channel. And I keep coming back day after day. I buy those poly folders, they're like plastic, and yes colored but you can see through them, (accept the black ones) but I can usually buy them 3 for a dollar and once cut apart, I can get up to 8 small to medium size stencils

I had a thought about your stamps based on some other videos I just saw. You could put a Velcro strip on an acrylic block and attach your stamps to that when you’re stamping since they already have Velcro on them. I use inexpensive acrylic picture frames in place of blocks. Thanks for all your great ideas!
