just wanted to say... I'm a licensed stylist and even though you messed up, the correction turned out amazing! you really did a great job! I love that little tool you have to do the ombré and I'll be getting one. it was also a great idea to use the mascara wand for the correction. so I'll be purchasing some of those as well! thanks for the video. I watched it so I could show a friend that doesn't live near me, how to do her own hair like this and then add purple to the blonde parts! so big help!

This video was perfect. I like that you showed how it went wrong and how to fix it. A lot of the videos i have seen, I have seen a lot, do not show this. So i appreciate that you show how to fix it. I think you hair looks perfect. Its what i want to do. I went to the salon to get it done, and I wound up with a straight line across my hair, top half dark the bottom half yellow. I was so upset, I have been wearing my hair up in a bun for like 4 weeks. Last Sunday, I decided to at least bring that yellow color down and I used Clairol Age defy in an ash and a light brown colors that I mixed. It did the trick for now. But i really want to balayage my own hair, I thing I will wait another month before I try to process my hair. Thank you again. Super helpful video.

Most definitely was useful for me!! I needed to know how to do it, though I'm a redhead, with naturally occurring blonder/lighter parts and highlights - I don't think I'll have too much of a problem with patches. I also bought the same exact hair dye before ever watching your video lol

Thank you for posting this video! I just used your advice to tone down my colorist mistake! I went to a salon and asked or ombre hair, and instead the colorist did bright almost thick highlights at the top. Luckily I found your video to teach me how to fix the bright strands on the top of the head! I was also able to lighten my ends! But you are the only one that post a video like this! I'm a Brunette also, and I got an ombré done yesterday at a salon and I was shocked to seem so many patches - I also had random bright strands of hair at the top. Blending a brown due seemed to work for you- thanks for the great idea!

I'm trying to decide whether to dye the blonde at the bottom or the colour on the top first, and your video helped me to decide to do the blonde, so it was really helpful even without watching you apply the whole thing :) thanks! Fingers crossed I don't mess up my hair! 🤞

I actually recommend starting at the back of your head, because I've heard hair stylists say your front pieces will process faster and they are also more fragile so you don't want the product on there for too long :)
