This is amazing, I haven't been able to find a video that uses webbing in the way that my vintage chair has until now! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

I first want to say a big thank you, I was going to throw my accent chair in the trash, then I came across this video, showing how to get this job done. I am now going to try and reupholster this chair. I'm so excited to take on this challenge, wish me good luck.

Wow, great tips! Especially the batting one! I keep seeing people replace these kinds of seats with plywood, and I wasn't sure if it made a difference. But the "trampoline" metaphor sold me! I need something comfortable. So, I have two questions. 1- How do you know what width of webbing to use? Do more pieces of small webbing have a different effect than fewer pieces of thicker webbing? 2- I'm SUPER allergic to burlap. I assume that I could use nylon webbing and it would work about the same, right? Does burlap have more "give?" Should I not pull the nylon as tight? Or would it all just be the same? Thanks so much!

This is such a great video, thank you! If one doesn’t own the device that tightens the webbing is there some alternative they can employ to get the same result?

I love your video! I have this exact chair bottom. It still has the webbing intact it’s a bit stretched . Should I replace the webbing or just tighten what is on the chair?

My cane seats have a beautiful wood "frame" around them that I would like to refinish rather than cover completely in fabric. Can I upholster just the inside square using your beginning steps? Then finish the edge with either single or double cording?

I have a similar chair that was cupboard completely. When I took all of the foam and padding off there was beautiful wood underneath, even some burled . Is there a way to keep this wood showing and still have a nice seat?

Thank you, What a great video, I think I could even do this. Is there a list of what you use, or need to get started and where you get it? I have 10 hand caned chairs, all but 1 need re-done, and they are HAND done, which will cost me almost $400 per chair.

I could not tell in the video, is the bevel on the webbing side or the opposite side?

Ed, I can appreciate your frustrations, We have been posting free KZfaq videos for 10 years and will say they can’t approach the content and completeness of our paid online classes ,That said we have heard from people who become very good upholsters just watching KZfaq!! Amazing since that requires watching them all! FYI we will be offering zoom classes soon , stay tuned to Broadwayupholsteryschool.com

Ed, we ourselves recognize the fact that the youtube channel was not supplying all of the information that you would get in a paid class. That is why we started the paid classes because we can devote much more time to those and there is so much more knowledge in those classes.
