Reason i took six inches off was because the tear in the hose was close to that length..you dont have to cut that much off..use ur judgement :)

Don't normally post comments, but wanted to drop a line to say this video was super helpful in teaching me how to fix a leak in my irrigation hose. I've never done it before and was glad to have someone walk me through all the parts I needed and how to do it.

Just tickle the end of that pipe with a propane torch for a second. That coupler will slide right in no sweat. Like your channel dude. Real world repairs and no BS. lol. Thanks for sharing.

This is so helpful thanks! What size pipe is this? It looks the same size as mine but all I can find on line is 3/8”

I touch of oil on the coupling makes it much easier to insert.

thanks for the instructional video. I was able to complete the task. The final step was very difficult. My only recommendation would be to add a water proof glue/epoxy or water tape especially on the pipe coming from source towards the sprinkler. During my test run, I saw drops on that end but it was not enough for me to start the project over. weld-on glue.

You should do a test after your repaired to make sure it works. Mine still leaks due to the high pressure water
