Thanks for making this, I just did the line on my 98 prizm and while it took me 4 hours and a lot of self doubt, regret, and pain, I think it's finally good to go. The original line was probably still the OEM one from 98 so it was basically perforated and leaking all over. The replacement line for some reason took way more effort than expected to get the rack side tightened up. Like, I had the handle of my floor jack for leverage to get it tight. After a few hours, It seems to be holding.

Nice that yours came with 2 connected washers. Mine are separate so I'll have to be careful not to drop them during insulation. Most other videos say I need a crows foot to remove the 17mm end. I am gonna see if I can use your method with a 17mm open end and if it works I'll just return the 2 crows feet I bought. My new line is 16mm for some reason so I had to buy 2 of them. It looks really difficult to get the 17mm off as well as the bracket that holds the lines together though you make it look easy. Well here goes nothing lol.

Glad you were able to get it done, judging by your other comment I see you had some issues. I don’t know why some of the after market parts have a different size not on the bottom end, luckily mine was 17mm but a lot of people say there’s are not. I was able to get mine with the open ended wrench, it did take some time tho cause there isn’t much space.

So it could just have been the O-Rings that's the Culprit?

On mine it was the whole hose had tons of small holes, kinda like a soaker hose for your garden, it was just because of the age of the vehicle.

I wish I wouldn't have tried to take the bottom bracket bolt out. It twisted in half with the other half of the bolt rusted to the the bracket that's attached to the car. The lines can be freed just removing the top bolt. Now I have no way of securing these lines. Uggggggggg. Oh and I ended up needing the 17mm crows foot to get it off.

Oh no, I didn’t think you could remove the line with out taking both bolts off. I didn’t have any issue with removing them on mine. The lines are pretty tight in place anyway, I think only having the 1 bolt on the bracket would be fine.
