That’s Awesome man! How did it held up so far? Does it stain your clothes, maybe in hot conditions with sweat or anything like that? I just got a very faded blue seat, I’m still trying to decide respraying it blue or just blacking it out

Only thing I worry about is if I sit in it for a long time even after it's cured will sweat or any moisture anything like that cause the die to transfer over to my clothes

These spray can dyes look good but make the seat fabric lose their softness and feel extra crispy

Did you find a way to soften it up? I did mine yesterday and its really ruff, should i go over it with a brush?

Probably should’ve exfoliated after each layer

Used a spray bottle with water. Spray it lightly then paint it. It helps if it a bit damp so it can dry slowly to be a bit soft. Or you can check out Annie Sloan interior chalk paint and wax for fabric dying.

You can go over the Recaro logo with a paint marker to make it look spiffy, be careful though.

Yes it def does harden. Carpet, seats, anything - if you expect it be as soft as it was, this aint the way. But if you don't mind, like carpet in your car because you're not laying on it - it works.

Yes they do. I have recaros from factory in my 2010 Ralliart and they definitely have faded.

That’s a JDM recaro chair, don’t know why but the jappas have euro parts made in Japan or for Japan slightly different specs Speedline did it too as did tecnomagnesio and prodrive on sparco steering wheels you couldn’t get in Europe but could in JDM
