I know that this post is more than 2 years old. I think by changing one element of the howler is the final wrapping of the ribbon. I would use a velcro dot behind the wax seal. The ribbon would have to be folded slightly different but, keeping the overall look of the howler. Loved the video.

I think you could add to that letter. There are cards on which you can record a message. If you remove the speaker from one of those cards and insert it in to the howler it should make it actually howl!
