I just made one, and it's perfect! Got a one gallon sprayer from Home Depot for 9.99, and ordered the connector and coupler off ebay for like 5 bucks. It was as if it was all meant to go together.

Great build! I didn't realize those carb caps could accept liquid-side ball lock couplers so easily (some adapters only accept gas). I've done a similar build with tail-piece adapters for commercial-style systems. Also your kegorator looks awesome. Great video!

i saw that on another post about accepting both ...i am confused..i know they are close but they are slightly different...wouldnt it get jammed on or lose pressure and not seat correctly? IDK how it can accept both ?

You're the only person I've come across so far who cleans air lines. I ask people at homebrew shops frequently if they do and they get this expression on their faces as if they're trying to not laugh. It's like, "Who would clean their gas lines? And why???" Well, there's yeast in there which came off of the atmospheres of every beer that's been hooked up since the last time they've been cleaned. I've noticed that the flavor of beer changes a lot from the beginning to the end of the keg. Sometimes it becomes more bitter, sometimes it becomes less...things like that. It can occur for many reasons: yeast settling out, hops settling out, continued low temperature fermentation...including due to additional yeast strains being introduced through the gas lines. Preventing the latter just seems to me like a control that everyone would want to put on their brew...but they don't. By the way...what is that thing on your wall that looks like half a barrel? A cabinet? Pretty cool.
@DrHansBrewery
@DrHansBrewery 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm totally with you on that one. I don't clean my gas lines every time but I like to do it from time to time to keep things clean. It's a little bar I've found that some had tossed away. I can show you in another video if I remember when standing near it again. Cheers!

Might be a bit more than $20 here in the U.S. I do like the build a lot but because of the price. The reason I like it is more for the saving of my CO2 as I usually use my spare 1 or 1.75 Gallon kegs for this purpose and other utility purposes but the only long term cost for your system is a little arm workout which is usually needed anyways. Nice job!

Great Idea :) I'm in the middle of building my jockey-box system and was looking for something to easily clean the line. Definately going to use this contraption of Yours. TIP: You shouldn't use Starsan if there are parts of Your line that are made of copper. Don't know if You have any, just leaving a tip so maybe somebody can see it. Cheers from Kurwistan Poland!

Nice one Dr Hans. Really good idea. Do you force carb your kegs or just hook up the gas and let them sit at a certain pressure? Cheers.

I do both actually. And I´ve also begun to experiment with naturally carbonate in the keg. Video coming up on that subject as well. Cheers!

So what would be your cleaning routine with this? In between every keg? Flush with cold PBW/oxy, then with star San, then flush with water? I think I would want three of these filled and ready to go, no?
