Thank you brother, follow your tip and dis mines today. Didnt use a air stapler just hand held 1/2 in hope it hold up look great right now.

The colorful soft pad not being perfectly cut - is that something that's noticeable once the carpet is laying on top?

looks good. im debating on using the tack strips, but it seems like everyone is using them.

Thanks! I would recommend using the tack strips it will help prevent the carpet from moving and sagging.

How long did it take you to do the whole stairway?

It took about 8 hours. Could be quicker if you're not filming.

Did you manage to do it all in one cut or did you have to do more?

The stairs was done all in one cut (cut a little extra so you can trim afterwards). The landing above the stairs has it's own piece.

@@renoforless I suppose the best place to cut it as I'm going to have to is just under the lip where you can't see it. You know the rounded part at the tip of the stair. I was just looking for help on how to cut it.

@@paulanthony5274 Yes, that's correct. best to cut it right under the bullnose (rounded part) of the landing.

😮 no just no I’ve been doing this job for many years and ok it looks ok but the gripper is placed wrong underlay not sufficient to last , use the correct tools for the job

You do realise he said “attempt to put the carpet” also said it’s not a tutorial
