In this video I attempt to stealth car camp in a Jeep. As my Ford Galaxy Micro Camper is back in the garage for the next few days I thought it would be fun to try and camp out in a different car and set up. Safe to say it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be!

I’m am such a fan will. Once you get heating installed you should go to Scotland. (You can possibly find a way to link an extension to a car battery and install a mini heater to keep you warm). And keep like 3 jumpstarts with you so ur car battery doesn’t die).

I have an idea to help you save space and may even be more comfortable than the air bed. The cardboard is a nice thing to do, but add this on top of the cardboard: Get a thick memory foam bed topper, and then put a thick shag rug on top of the topper. Finally, get a mummy style sleeping bag, the one where the temperature rating can reach zero degrees.

That was actually a good educational video for anyone thinking they can just take their car and do a stealth camp with out any prep. Or atleast making proper window covers before hand

For years when my daughter was little, I was in a transit with an amazing set up.. double and single beds,stove with oven& grill,sink with water pump and woodburner.it's far easier to be stealth in a regular car than a big white van with a flue out the top but I always said hello to other stealthers when I saw them,not creepy at all! now stick a mattress in my MPV with a little stove for breakfast and I'm off..simpler

The reason it wouldn't start up straight away is because it wasn't left on ignition for long enough so the glow plugs couldn't warm up!

Greetings from Munich Germany, came across you're channel because I don't dig the usual Vanlife stuff. 5 years ago, Instead of flying, I bought myself an older Renault JE3 Espace to do a one time trip to Dorset and Cornwall. It survived the trip, even a second time too and has since given me 50000kms of fun, short trips and night overs. If in Town, I would usually just park in quiet posh neighbourhoods, the car never stood out. But most times I would wake up on Cliffs or Beaches, near lakes or just calm mountain fields with cow bells jingling and amazing views once the door was opened. Best 500€ I ever spent on a car. Hope you haven't gone too fancy on you're next ride! It was the reason I liked you're channel, same gas cooker and all. Less is more ;-) If you ever come to Germany, let me know and I can give you some stealth spots worth waking up to, especially in Bavaria.

Greetings from across the pond. I've not changed the car it was just a temporary swap whilst I get my galaxy repaired. I would love to head over to Germany and Bavaria at some point so will be in need of some advice and stealth camp spots :)

Hi there. That was fun , but it looked rather cold . After this blog I watched your visit to the New Forest with doggie. I was surprised to see the place was exactly where my family camped in the car back in the early 70´s . I was very little but I remember my brother having the same experience, hearing people´s voices and he saw a man llooking into the car , he was very sensitive to the supernatural , Mum freaked out , Dad was sleeping next to the car on a camp bed. We put it down to ghosts. Hope to see you out in Europe soon . keep the dog , lots of love , keep safe .

Hello Will. You asked about a new van. I would recommend a St John's ambulance. These are really WELL insulated. I don't like diesel and these seem to be diesel. They also have a low mileage. Good luck.

When I was young my dad fitted out a Layland Sherpa van, me, my dad, my mum and my sister all slept in there. It had everything except toilet facilities but we could do everything else in there. It was fun.

I have to say I've ploughed through your videos more for the entertainment value as you always make me laugh, you've gone to some cracking places, out stealthed the stealthees(not sure that's a word but sounds appropriate,) and have some amazing drone footage. Hi mate.i use either black bin bags for the windows or just black paint . And if you have to take cloths off put them in a black bin bag. It keeps them warm and u got a pillow

Should try the blackout blinds with the suction pads for your windscreen. You can buy one and cut to size so it fits snug. Used them before having blinds fitted at home and they worked a treat.

it'd be cool if you had a way to get time lapse photos of your surroundings (just around your vehicle) while you sleep. then after you say goodnight you could play some of those photos in-between the goodnight and good mornings. plus you'll see what goes on around you whist you're sleeping.

We have a Dodge Magnum and a Dodge Nitro. We camp in both overnight from time to time, but only enough space for double mattress. We have the Chrysler tailgate tent which hooks to the car if we're staying longer at a site to give some extra space to cook wash and change. Grand Cherokee is smaller inside than expected.

Ok next time you need to put up make shift curtains, watch the youtubers who use binder clips in the headliners, and makeshift life will be much less painful next time this occurs, lol. So you do not need 'proper window covers' as some people may suggest, you can do make shift temporary curtains instead but the wa yto hold them up is with binder clips.

Bell Street car park, oh could I tell you some stories about that lol. The guy with the transit usually parks down the back lane behind the lake (park lane) by the allotments if you ever want another stealth location, there's loads round here tbh. I've never managed to get those plant pots working, they get hot but just the pot, the surrounding air doesn't really get too warm, and you had a lucky escape at that dominos, my neighbour used to work there and let's just say you might not have been sleeping in the car that night had she still been working there lol

You should buy a Mazda bongo you can get them cheap, the back seats fold into an actual bed, it has electric blinds, these are often converted to campers but are 8 seater people carriers originally. There are 2 types, one has a roof tent, these are more expensive and not as stealthy.

Mate massive upgrade tip fpr the galaxy. You do everything on the bed but if you strapped fold up tables to the other side wall opposite the bed. You could sit on the bed and cook and eat on those tables while sitting on the bed?

I use cardboard to cover the windows, if u cut them just right they will just stay in place. Sprayed one side with cheap black paint and with the tinted rear windows you just can't see them or into the car, they also give a tiny amount of insolation. Live free👍

Paraffin wax is flammable! If you do that candle heater make sure it cant be bumped or fall over(ask me how i know). After trying all different kinds of heating, id strongly reccomend getting one of the diesel heaters. Ive run mine for hundreds of hours and its really the only way to go.
