I’m somewhat of a lazy crafter. I usually stamp the whole block of Timmy’s Field Notes, Correspondence, Tickets, Eccentric in different colors and spend the evening fussy cutting. Love stamping these on deli, tissue or tracing paper and using large sections in collage. I think my stamps are calling me. TFS.

Crack on Robin😁 I'll be doing that more in future. I used to love loading up my stamp platform with various Timmy stamps for that purpose, but the newer ones aren't deep enough to stamp with the older ones here😐 oh well☺️🤗💜

LOVE IT!!! I might have to do this TONIGHT! While paper I'm dyeing is in oven!! QR code is great idea. I'd have skipped that! It's durprising how many little symbols are on boxes and packaging, etc. I have that stamp set too. One of my favorites. Perfect for this. I'm going to punch out labels from a few foreign language books. I think that would be good too. My hands are already BLUE, from dyeing blue papers today!! LOL. TFS. Austin TX USA

Fabulous video Julie. So enjoyed it. I too love making my own bits. You have certainly inspired me with looking at all the junk mail now. Never thought of that. I’m going to dedicate an evening to creating all the little tickets etc and putting them in a little box. Julie I have a large pot to catch the trimming AKA the floor! The more I try to be tidy the worse it gets! Love the QR code labels they look fab on any project. Thanks for sharing your money saving ideas. I am on a massive stash diet at the moment which also includes printing digitals unless I really really need to print one.

I think that as we progress as crafters we get gutsier about seeing what someone else uses then look at our stuff and try to figure out what we can substitute. Wow how I love this idea. I have three sizes of circle punches and I have a stamp that looks like your label and I just love the idea of taking barcodes and those little square barcode. Wow wow I just love it when people make things out of nothing. I've sent for some numbers stamps but they haven't come yet in the meantime I'm going to try it by using numbers from magazines. I just wanted to let you know you are joy to watch and listen to. I watch several times and then when I am crafting I listen to you in the background. I love Gert I am 63 and do not have one, but her piping in at odd times is hysterical. My granddaughter came into see if I was ok I was Laughing so hard, I made her listen and she laughed. You have said several times that you girls think you are ancient, so I wanted to share how my grandaughters think.... I love black and white movies they have watched several with me. One day the youngest asked me if I was alive when color came in..... i told her it was alike a rainbow that started at one side and then there was color everywhere. They are so easy. Keep up the good work and give Gert my best wishes. And keep the youngins in check. Oh I usually do jewlery, crocheting and quilts you now have me hooked on journals.

Hi Debra😊 it's strange how you think everyone over 25 is ancient. I thought my teachers at school were old and thinking back most were in their 20's. We still had black and white TV in the 70's. My girls are amazed we managed without mobile phones and all the other gadgets and gizmos. ☺️🤗💜

The green comes from the way the color is mixed. Its not a pure brown. The way Mr. Holtz mixes his inks depending on oxide or not there is a tiny bit of another color. The binder that is used in the inks keeps them from seperating. If that happens just reink it and try to get the new mixed into the old as best you can. I've been experimenting with my own blender inks and have noticed the same thing when I don't use a binder. Hope it helps. Stay creative!

I saw a video recently about storing this kind of ephemera. I can’t find the video and don’t remember who made it. She took a canson XL mixed media notebook and put a small amount of Tombow permanent double sided tape on the back of the pieces of ephemera. The tape holds it just enough so it doesn’t fall off of the paper, but you can peel it up! I tested it and it worked! I. Working on making a better, prettier front cover for it. I can’t wait. You make clusters and the like look SO incredibly easy to assemble. But yet, I’m all over here up in my head trying to do random and not matchy matchy green squares. Maybe one day I’ll bite the bullet (in a good way), brave international shipping, and order from you. I’m very intere in your straw paper; I’ve never seen it IRL so 🧐 Maybe next month. 😉 Another great “episode” as always!!❤❤

You know what I found clusters far easier after I tried making them blindfolded, honestly. The ones I made were nicer than the ones I faffed over 😐 The challenge was by Pam at the paper outpost. My shop is still closed at the moment. Our international postage is still messed up from a cyber attack in January 😐 ☺️🤗💜

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns that is HORRIBLE!! Why do people do that? And VERY interesting about the blind fold thing. The closest I’ve gotten to that was blindly picking out a gel pen color to use on an adult coloring book. That was EXTREMELY challenging for me. But a great exercise in randomness and how it’s OK! 😂🤪😍

Fun video Julie you never fail to motivate me to create. I did start a youtube channel but lost my MOJO I'm hoping to do journals here soon. My Christmas ideas I showed on my channel I lost my wants to create cards I don't like to stamp images and color them lol I'm to lazy lol. Thank you for this video I must buy some Timmy journal stamps I have a lot of his older dies and new ones too but little in stamps. BTW I love your kitty she makes me miss my little MeowMeow girl. @@CameliaCraftsDesigns 😊 I get it I see less numbers on my youtube but more numbers of subbies in my youtube studio so I figured many hide like I did. I'm hoping to hit 1000 by the end of the year so far I'm a bit over half way there but man making videos more than I am will be a challenge for I work outside my home and I lost my creative mojo. I did start a big journal using file folders yesterday I so hope it turns out. Thank you for subscribing though. 😊 and I did get the stampers rose perfume papers ouch it hit my pocket book hard lol. I bought new Timmy dies and papers too my crafty stash is mostly all tim holtz. Have a good day and love to see more of your kitty.

I love labels, and I often experiment with making my own using scraps. I'd never thought to use the specialized pieces of junk mail, but thoroughly enjoyed crafting alongside you. Thank you for another innovative way to create amazing ephemera!
