Everyone's all caught up on whether or not he has two washers or a washer and dryer, and how great he used the space. I am stuck on what kind of landlord makes such a nice laundry space for renter. I have never seen such a nice laundry space in a rental property, especially when that space was provided by the landlord

I'm sure everyone else has said this, but I'd be lucky to have had you as a landlord! Make sure to let the tenants know to keep the washer door open after use. Rookie mistake that took me a year to learn.

Ideas for future videos: diy pergola you can hang a retractable canopy and string lights plus flowers or whatever. Also camping showers! Diy slatted fence that covers ugly fencing that you can't take off due to hoa or for apartment renters.

Is there a special reason that you keep using ply boards glued and screwed together(which seems to be quite wasteful) for countertops instead of actual counterboards that are available in endless laminations and textures?

FYI we just got rid off our front load washer. because of mold in the door gasket. You need to wipe gasket dry every time and leave door open when not in use Also we got the washer and dryer with the least electronics which saved a lot and they have a 10 year warranty...

Cool use of space! My two thoughts are: what happens when you forget to put a basket back and chuck clothes into the hole? And some short person is going to try and stand on the counter top to get to those high boxes...

It's two washer/dryer combos. He could have gotten away with 1 but HE appliances often have very long wash/dry times and it would be super nice to have two of them available especially if you have a big family or a lot of roommates. www.lg.com/us/washer-dryer-combos/lg-WM3488HS-front-load-washer

Only complaint is that it was just left unpainted. Seems to clash with the area in this case. Either paint it white like the ledge, use a white cover/board over the ply, or perhaps use melamine for the countertop.

Mate, I'm guessing you didn't do very much research on the washer. Something like 80% of people with front loading washers hate them. The seal from the doors go bad and get pretty nasty very quickly.
@nils19536 жыл бұрын
Highly doubt you did your research with "80%". Front loading washers are very common in europe, and are quite popular here. Maybe cheaper washing machines have that problem, but I have the same good old 22 year old washing machine and it´s rubber seal holds up very well.
@urbanequinox6 жыл бұрын
I have the same brand as the ones he got (LG) and after 8 years of constant use, have no issues with the seal. I've heard that issues with mildew are simply not letting the unit air out (which is really only an issue with front loading because the strength of the seal makes it air tight) so I leave the door open after emptying my laundry and close it later (it airs out quickly).
@afghan1mystery6 жыл бұрын
As long as you keep the machine open when it's not in use, should be fine (I think most people don't have the space to keep them open hence why that happens)
@trawis19836 жыл бұрын
no need to dipshit-ing anyone ;) he was trying to be wise here but as we all know front load washing machines are doing their job well... people who not operate them right are the purpose of failure so... he just make himself look stupid :D

One washer, one dryer.
@Kedda4866 жыл бұрын

@pygmaelion6 жыл бұрын
There are many places throughout the United States without enough sun or space to dry clothes outdoors regularly. Electric or gas dryers (which look just like front loading washers) are paired with the washers. Aside from real reasons? somehow we've been convinced that we need both.
