I have been struggling with this mask for weeks. As an experienced quilter it frustrated me UNTIL I saw your video. I sat with my paper, ruler and pencil and made the template. It worked out great. THE ONLY THING I WOULD ADD that helped me with the tucked in sides is that BEFORE I sewed them down, I folded the mask and lined them up, pinned them and then sewed. Worked out great. THank you!

Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve been making pleated style and mortal kombat style (idk what else to call it 😂) since the beginning of Covid and finally made this 3D style. Omg. What a difference this mask makes in how it lets you BREATHE. Thank you thank you this is the best tutorial. I’m sure it’ll be a lot quicker the second time around now that I have my pattern already made. I also added interfacing to make it more stiff to hold shape, as well as act as a filter.

Wow! This is way easier then all the seams in the others. No wire, ease of washing, and folds completely flat. What’s nice also, is that I have some great fabrics that I didn’t want to cut up the design and ruin the imagery by piecing. This way it will be one great image. Thank you. Oh, and I can make it with additional layer for filtration, and with ties instead.

Realmente, tem máscara que vai deixar sequelas tipo, orelha de abano e nariz amassado. Essa fica bem ajustada e não sufoca.

hi! may I ask how many centimeters of length you use for the elastics? I do the same when I make masks, but some people say it is either too loose or too tight for them.

I suggest using a more generous length of elastic and allow users to adjust as needed.

Very good pattern. Made the perfect mask. My only suggestion is filled in the paper into fours and then you only have to measure want to get your corners. Great job !

@J G South African men are generally bigger in height, size and shape. This mask fits me perfectly, but for the 3 men in our family it is too small.

kim-thoa Bui Chào chi, Cut the liner the same way without the wings for the ears. Fold them neatly at ends

Sorry, I hit the wrong thing... Sandwich the main mask and liner and sew top and bottom. Hope this help.

@@phuongkern8027 I have done that on other types of masks. I take the pattern and fold the wings down. Then cut my filter pocket. But I can't figure out how to do that on this pattern. There are no wings when we draw it. After the mask is folded and sewn that's when I start seeing the ear wings. I've only been sewing since there was a need for masks and I guess thats why I'm having trouble understanding. I'm going to sew an interfacing to this one but I would rather have a filter pocket. Can you help me understand how I can do that? Thank you.
