My son and i made our first steel gates-fence project. Took lots of work and effort but it was well worth it.

How is the privacy? Is there any gaps between the bored?

@@tonyfat2458 Eventually Woden boards did shrink a little and now there’s a slight gaps between them so I’m going to redo entire picket boards by overlapping them to get that ultimate privacy fence.

@balabay77 Thanks, I'm going to be putting up a steel frame with red wood boards, and I'm going to do board on board for privacy. Vertical overlapping I think this is what they call the one I want to do

He's Mexican, and that's a trade in Mexico. They build houses without using any electrical tools. I live abroad, and I am always amazed with how well they work with hardly any tools. Great job for working well with your son. Your fence turned out beautifully. Stay blessed!

the combination of the black metal and the wood is really attractive... and for future, it will just be boards that need replacing - really smart design.

Great job with basic tools. A lot of times the only fancy “tool” you need is your brain. Makes me happy you have your son helping you. Passing on all that knowledge to the next generation. My brothers and I are doing something similar at our youngest brothers house. In Sac as well. Great job once again.

Well, it's not the tool, it's how you use it! Excellent job on your design, and an amazing job on your execution of your project. Very clever ways to create your latches, now that is inspirational. Hey thanks for this video guys, I was looking for a video just like this to be honest. I’m by no means an expert with the tools I have but I’m trying to get better and videos like this show me what I need to do on specific parts of specific projects. If I had to make a suggestion I would just say maybe try and show the audience more of literally everything that you do to get this built. Like EVERYTHING. What may seem like common sense or “no duhh” type stuff to you may be a complete mystery to others just beginning to learn how to DIY at rede and how to do everything home. Thanks again guys, I like and subscribed. Keep up the good work

Very nice. My only comment is you might have done a little better with your compressor if you thinned the Rustoleum paint with 10% acetone and maybe used the smaller gun. The 20 ounce gun uses a bit more air than the small one.
