I am 2 weeks in today I have 236 locs and love it! My process was started w/interlocking my hair resembles sisterlocs I wish I could show u here, I don't have a IG I guess I could get one. I was watching your video bc I hv abt 7 locs that have a hole or slightly loose and I was thinking I could be brave and attempt to fix them.. But I love the look interlocking has vs palm rolling.

A very good way of explaining it! Starting via interlocking is the best in my opinion since it gives a uniform look overall if that's how you will be maintaining them moving forward. It's tiring for small locs but so worth it in the long run :D

Awesome tutorial! I am such a visual learner. I noticed the entry point of the rotation to install is different from the entry point to maintain/retighten. If I continue with the entry rotation used to install will it effect the shape and look of Loc? Why switch from 12, 3, 6, 9 to 3, 6, 9 12. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think it plays a major role, you just have to avoid piercing into the same hole more than once. Thanks for stopping by ✌

Hi @Feneti, thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I am planning on starting my locks Journey and I just have a few questions for you. How does someone choose between 2pt, 3pt and 4pt rotation as maintenance method? What would be the difference? Does one reduce the frizz? Thank you so much for helping out.
@fenetiwoman
@fenetiwoman 3 жыл бұрын
You are so welcome! The difference lies in the firmness of the locs. 4pt makes it more firm, 3pt allows it to swell.
@cherylz2633

Would you be able to show a 3 point rotation with this same schematic? This was a fabulous explanation, but some curl patterns and hair textures (coily and fine textured) benefit from a 3 point pattern. TY

@fenetiwoman
@fenetiwoman 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Debra. I go clockwise and I never start where I usually end. So sometimes I start at 3 or 6 depending how my loc is laying. Yours means anticlockwise, 4 point rotation. Start where you did not end. Hope that helps.

I was told that as you continue the rotation, instead of starting again at 9 you would go to a 10,1,4,7 rotation. Then to a 11,2,5,8 (it moves slightly to the left every rotation.) Have you tried that before?
@fenetiwoman
@fenetiwoman 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have tried that, It makes the loc become cylindrical and gives it a nice even shape. But first I am sharing the basic understanding of interlocking. Thanks for sharing this.
