Wow I would have never guessed that light bulb was made of hot glue! What a fantastic solution😊 All of these are perfect for the vibe of the Josephine house! I can't wait to see them all in place!

Every time I watch you "wing it", I get inspired! You really are one of the most inspirational channels Jolene, even if its something different to what you are making, I always seem to come away with great ideas, love it❤ The frosted glass tulip shade, I bought a bag of these flower beads that are exactly the same, from AliExpress or Temu, not sure that its glass but it really looks like glass, just in case anyone is interested in making wall sconces etc, these beads are perfect and come in many colours.

YEEESSS!! I got some too, should be here any day now, and I plan on doing a video with them. Yaaay!🤗 how perfect is that!! I got different colors, they look like frosted glass, and I also have different sizes and different kinds.. I love the morning glory ones. Can't wait to do a video with them. I also got some beads for hurricane lamps. I'm not sure if they will be fitting yet. But they are very pretty. This is fun! Thank you so much for all your support, Anne!🥰💕💕

Oh my goodness! I love the lights! The bare bulb was genius! I’m totally impressed. I will be copying your idea, when I finally build my husbands garage diorama. In the meantime watching this tutorial has my brain working overtime, with ideas popping in my brain. Thank you!

That little lightbulb was just fantastic! I've wanted to learn more about making lights and wiring for a while now. Normally I just kind of cheat and wire my entire room boxes and dolls houses with whole strings of fairy lights, but I would like to have some lights separate. I'll be sure to check out the Evans Designs channel you recommended

The lights turned out great! I could see myself having a lot of fun doing this. I like the idea of drilling a hole in the ceiling and hiding the battery pack in the attic. You could come up with a creative way to disguise it for sure.

Oh my pleasure😊 Thank you for watching, I'm happy to help. If you're working in 1:12, I would say the smallest one that I used would be perfect for a chandelier maybe even 1 size smaller if they make them. As long as the wires fit thru..so you don't have to rewire..lol..I purchased the smallest that was available to me.😊

❤ I LOVE this! I made a light up fireplace. I made a tiny receptacle for a 2023 cell battery using part of a K-cup. I coiled the wires and left a space between them where the battery could slide in. It works like a charm.

@@tinykeyholeminis I just slide the battery in and out. I glued a little tab on the battery to use as a pull tab. I cut out about a 1/4” wide piece of K-cup and glued that to a little circle off the bottom of the K-cup, about the same size as the 2032 battery. The wires from the “fire” sit inside this tiny housing for the battery . I coiled the negative wire and coiled the positive wire and left a space between them. This is all encased in the K-cup compartment. I left a little space opened where the battery slides in and out. There is a space between the two coiled wires where the battery slides into. And this all sits under my little hearth grate and twig logs, so it is not seen.

I think you will confuse people with your talk of 9V and 12V (horrors!) batteries. If the lights ('rice' lights) are bought as a string of 'fairy' lights they will come with their own handy flat battery pack of two coin cell batteries. They can be found on Amazon as wedding table decorations for example. I found these by accident - when I was married 50 years ago, we didn't have the internet, let alone the wonders of Amazon. Wierd eh? I love your use of alternative materials. I have been collecting jewellery from charity (thrift?) shops for years to use the stones & 'jewels' in projects but never thought of using the fittings and fixings. Brilliant!🕯🕯🕯🕯

The bare bulb is so thoughtfully done. Loving that you made the blown glass bulb out of hot glue. Genius! It’s giving 1920s Parisian maid’s quarters vibes and makes me want to get my 1:1 scale typewriter out. The light is wonderfully nostalgic. 💡 On topic/off topic: How lucky ducky I feel to have a 16-pack of those same fairy lights…and a 12-pack of the coin batteries (that I bought by mistake) just sitting in my drawer? It’s uncanny. I could totally hug you. ☺️
