*IMPORTANT: READ* The salt lamps are made from real Himalayan Pink Salt BUT the salt is glued in and then sealed in. Please seal yours in as I show in the video. Once sealed in the salt is no longer exposed to the air which will keep them protected from humidity. Click show more for timestamps and links. is the glue you use smelly? or has no smell?
@bookwyrms.26589 ай бұрын
It will be interesting to find out how these hold up. I live in an area that get very humid at times and real full-size salt lamps sweat/melt, unfortunately!
@WhereTheGnomesLive9 ай бұрын
@@bookwyrms.2658 I’m pretty sure the glue alone would keep them from melting so the glue plus the nail polish sealer should do it.. I’m almost positive lol but of course I can’t say for absolute certain.

You can also use button cell CR25 batteries to power bits of wire LED fairy light as well! I think it would work perfectly with these salt lamps! The lights have two wires & you just attach one piece of wire to each side of the battery & voila! You have light! It would get around having long wires & battery packs to contend with. You can also paint the LEDs with a thin coat if acrylic paint, making a whole range of different colors 😊

❤thank you so much, I always adored your videos and your creations are magical. You have a real skill for storytelling and carefully explaining techniques and tips which we all appreciate ! These lamps really are something else, I cannot wait to give them a try, they will fit in almost any miniature setting wether it’s spooky, contemporary or a cosy cottage. Thanks again for the time you spend on your channel. Xxxxx

These are adorable! One of the only mini things I ever made was teeny tiny toilet paper rolls inside clear glass Christmas balls filled with snow and a small branch to hang the roll on, the year toilet paper 🧻 was so hard to find. I had so much fun making them 🤣 I even tried my hand at a roll of scott towels.

Hi, your video came up in my feed and I had to watch it because these little lights are soooo pretty 😍. I love your channel. The dolls house you made out of cardboard and papier mache, that looks like a tree stump, with the lovely bay windows, is really gorgeous and it reminds me of a book I loved when I was a little girl called: 'The Wind In The Willows.' Have you ever heard of it? It's a classic English children's story about a group of animals named Ratty - who's a water rat, Mole, Toad and Badger who live by a river and have lots of exciting adventures. Badger's house is inside an old tree stump and your tree stump house is exactly how I imagine Badger's house would look in real life. See if you can borrow a copy of The Wind In The Willows from your local library, I think you'd like it. All the animals in the book have really cool houses, Mole has a little house under the ground, Ratty has a house by the river, where he keeps his little boat, and Mr Toad (who's very wealthy) has a huge stately home, although it gets taken over by the weasels 😅

I'm making the character in my Tudor house a wizard because, I always said it was Medieval-Fantasy and the wizard gives me licence to bend the time and space rules a little which allows for a wider range of acceptable items in my dioramas. You have been super helpful and I'm sure wizards have crystal collections too so I am about to watch your diode video for ideas. I am getting closer to having a project I can take photos of so I will definitely post pics on Facebook and tag you for the numerous ideas❤

Fascinating. I don't know how you even thought of making mini salt lamps. They are so cool. Which do you feel is the easiest method?
@WhereTheGnomesLive9 ай бұрын
the plastic tubing was super easy! The fabric takes more time just due to needing to be shaped but once it was shaped it was easy too. I like the light through the fabric better as well BUT the bulbs can be painted to soften the glare.. I forgot to add that part in the video

Plus the fabric method used more light bulbs so you'd be "wasting" less bulbs.

@@recoveringsoul755 the coloured fabric tones down the light but the amount of light used is personal preference.. you don’t have to use more

This is so cute. I love it. I know that salt lamps are really bad for animals. Im led to believe its carcinogous for them. this also applies to plug in air fresheners etc. I dont know whether you have animals or not and this is for information only.
@WhereTheGnomesLive9 ай бұрын
Yes, I know and thank you! ❤️ These tiny lamps are sealed in permanently so the salt is no longer exposed.
@Nick-hj6dn9 ай бұрын
Salt lamps are totally fine for animals (and people), there are no carcinogens released from salt whether the lamp is on or not. A few issues that may be of real concern regarding salt lamps however are; pets or children ingesting too much salt causing vomiting and diarrhea. Another issue being poor quality wiring. Many of these lamps are made using very cheap electrical components, combined with the fact that salt is very corrosive to metals, the wiring can be made worse due to salt contact allowing for a greater fire hazard. Lastly, the weight of the lamps can be dangerous if knocked off a shelf or table. Another popular myth about salt lamps is that they "purify" or ionize the air in the room. This is completely false. The only time salt "releases" ions is when heated to 1400*F (800*C), when salt becomes a liquid and ultimately a vapor.

Could this method bee used to imitate the fire in a fireplace??

Dear we don't need to make artificial salt lamps , we have a lot in our country, very cheap.
