Hey there! Great alternative for the multiple thousand bike lifts! Im setting up my workshop right now and shopping for tools. Could you be so kind to list all the tools you used to build this? Specifically-the saws. I already found a welder, but im really confused with all the different types of saws. Which ones do metal, which ones do wood. Never had to deal with saws appart from your average hand saw. Also-i would have made a sviveling metal plate as a ramp, with wheels on the bottom of it, so it just rolls itself out when going down and folds in when going up. Seems to be less of a hassle than to move a big chunk of wood in to possition every time. Thanks, cheers!

Just a thought wouldn't a long ram air/hydraulic cylinder of worked better harber freight sells the 3 ton versions for 60 bucks or even the 8 ton version for 120 bucks definitely a cool set up but just thinking out loud

Don’t know if this was already asked/answered, but why didn’t you just build the top frame to sit on outside of bottom frame with the uprights in between? Then to lower all the way to the ground?

So far so good. The idea with the motorcycle lifter is good. I just do not understand why all crawl on the floor and work like the cavemen. 2 trestles and an old wooden board as a work table make it easier to work.

Ah ok. To bad I didn’t meet you 10yrs ago when I lived there lol. Currently waiting to see if I can land a TA job with Kawasaki over here, so that’ll definitely help once I get a cafe racer project bike (thinking a ZRX1200 with an engine conversion ZX12R). All comes down to having coin and the skills. You doing this full time of just a part time thing for you?

Hey dude cool videos and I look forward to your cb750 build as that’s gonna be my next one. Iam not a pro with this KZfaq lark but I can sure give you a couple of hints. First off tip 1. make sure you sign up for Adsense. That will allow you to get paid for your videos. There’s plent of info on how to do that on KZfaq. Tip 2. you wanna promote you videos, I have a Facebook group called bratstyle & caferacer club. I promote my videos there and when you start your cb750 I’ll promote them for you there too if you want. Tip 3, I wouldn’t do more than 2 videos per week. I was doing 1 every Monday, it’s been hard lately with work commitments but I’ll be back in the next few weeks. Tip 4, make sure your main title is exactly about what your doing and make use of the TAGS, this makes a huge difference in people finding your videos again there’s plenty of how to grow you KZfaq channel on here. But keep it up, your content is great 👊🏽 hope this helped

Hey mate! Bought this supercheap lift today. Would love to build this design table. Yours a genius for the design. Any chance you could share the measurements for the top and bottom long edges? I think my bike needs it to be around 2.5m long on the top minimum hahahaha

Cafe racer, I like the little welding cart. Specifics of welder and cart? I have limited garage space and this would be perfect for what I'm trying to do. Is that a 110v welder?

Yes you can use a 110v not a problem but I'm in Australia and everything is 240V here, My welder is a 172amp Mig, however, you can use a stick welder if you want, way cheaper to buy and smaller for your garage :) did you want the size of my welding cart I made? or what exactly would you like to know? The idea behind making my cart was just to fit all the stuff I need for welding on it, and also my drop saw on the bottom. My advice is to get the best wheels you can afford and make sure all 4 wheels are swivel with brakes this will save you so much frustration when wheeling it around all the obstacles in your garage and you can lock it from moving at any corner. :)

We don't get $279 lifts from Harbor Freight down here in Australia.

Matt McLeod Unfortunately that’s about $400 Australian. But due to Australia being so remote the cost of items like this are generally more expensive I don’t think I’ve ever seen I left for $400 before. I totally agree with you .if you can buy a cheap go for it, It will definitely save you a lot of time and work👍 😊
