I absolutely love this. I've really got back into crafting again and I'm sooooo glad that I found this. I'm going to make these with my kids, they are going to love them! I'm also going to make some out of Polymer clay....I love the poly! lol... And I'm going to do some in fabric etc, which is totally new to me. I've found lots of different types of crafting that I'm going to learn like Quilling and Quilting, Soutache and diy storage boxes etc. all sorts. I have a long list of things to learn and I'm going to convert my attic into a craft room. I'm very excited about it as you can tell lol. I definitely want to do this, great idea. I think I'll use some rustoleum or other paint for metal though. I also saw a great tip on making sure you clean them before painting so theres no oil or other residue.

Very cute ideas. I use metal stamps to personalize stainless steel and brass washers, and buff to a high shine.

Have you tried floating the polish in water and swirling it then dipping the washer in like they do in some of the fingernail art videos? I'm curious if that would work on the washers. Also, could you dome some resin on them after they have dried? I guess the resin is only as strong as the base. In theory, if the fingernail Polish has a tendency to chip, the whole piece of resin could pop off.

Cute idea but don't you find that the nail polish chips off? Seems like maybe acrylic paint would be more permanent.

These are so much fun! How do you find the nail polish adheres to the metal long-term? I tried some with acrylics a few years ago and I found after a while the paint started to flake off.
