Hi. Any updates? Since you made this video, there have been some ‘improvements’ such as TPU coated UHMPWE (or so I’ve heard). I’d be interested to see how the latest fabrics perform.

I might do an update video when I get new fabric later this year. At this point UHMW fabrics are still too expensive to be practical for most people (given the amount needed for a packraft), and while they are very strong, their lack of stretch isn’t ideal for impact resistance. Nylon has a lower breaking strength, but it stretches a tremendous amount before breaking, so it absorbs abuse very well without any permanent damage.

Hi, have you thought of using mylar for all ur inflatable designs and how are they?
