This is how I made my own powered air purifying respirator machine. Disclaimer - this is just a demonstration for a fun DIY project, please only use professionally manufactured and certified PAPR devices.

I really like the simple approach to air delivery that eliminates the need for a contaminant free box. Well done easily makes this the best diy papr on youtube because it is effective

Im making one of these to remove insulation and remediate mold in !y mother's old house she passed away. Along with our family going through other major losses and also my little brother getting cancer has torn us up. But my goal is to fix my mother's house and garden To memorialize the good times and also create a healthy environment for !myself and if I end up becoming sick and passing away myself. It will be a good home for the next family to appreciate. Will be vlogging soon. Good luck with your endeavors. Much love

If you're looking for a large capacity, cheap, and rechargeable set of batteries for projects, 18650s are great. 3 in series will give you 12.6 volts at full charge, they are only ~$5 each, most can store at least 2-3 Amp hours per battery, and they are rechargeable hundreds of times. 6 of those (2 parallel banks of 3 in series) would probably work great for you. Nice project!

Great idea! I never even thought about using 18650’s, I just kind of defaulted to the D’s. That could be a good upgrade to it at some point.

Why wouldn’t you filter the intake instead of your output? How has your motor stood up with it not being a continuous duty motor? Does it over heat after running for a bit?

Prime example of how a father's love will always find a solution. God is good 😊

Thanks for sharing. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what did your son need this for? Does he have some special respiratory medical issues? Either way your love for your son is shown through this project.

He doesn't need it for any day-to-day health issue, I just wanted it in case of emergency to help assist with breathing while wearing a mask. Also, this was more of a concept project than anything. It'd be much better to purchase a real PAPR machine. Thanks for watching!
