I finished up with the final version of my Ryobi Nation Party Station build and I'm so excited to use it! Free plans to build this are available at www.ryobitools... - This is a blast to build and you can customize your party station with all the features you want! Be creative and have fun with this Party Station build!
For more info, project photos, and downloadable plans check out:
www.diypete.com...
Chrome Wheels
The first customization was to upgrade from the plastic lawn mower wheels to all out 15 inch tires with 8″ chrome wheels. I purchased the two tires at Home Depot for about $35 per tire. They are 15 inch tires for a riding lawn mower. The 8 inch chrome wheels are plastic and pop into place. They run about $30 for the set
Bottle Opener and Cap Catcher
I added a bottle opener and cap catcher. The folding table is supported by folding L brackets. I wasn’t able to find them at a local hardware store so I ordered them online.
Trailer Hitch
A trailer hitch was added to pull the bar cart. This is not for street use. It will however be fun to pull around at the golf course, soccer fields, or in the tailgating parking lot. I bolted the 2 inch ball hitch to a 3 inch wide piece of metal. A metal plate and extra re-enforcement were added to the front of the cart. A pin is used to easily detach the hitch when not in use.
Flat Screen TV
I added a 40 inch Samsung Smart TV to the Party Station to make it the ultimate tailgating solution. A couple 2×4’s were added to bolt the tv mount on. The tv mount I used is super easy to install and was about $30.
LED Lights
LED lights seem to make just about anything look cool at night. I found a 16 foot LED kit that works great and is battery powered. This is perfect if you are not going to have access to power. There is also an LED light kit version that plugs in which is quite a bit cheaper.

I have an outdoor soundsystem and ice chest built into a bench(actually a rather high end sound system. Its on my covered patio so it seems to hold up well to the elements. I have thought about adding a tv but never got around to it.

You've added a tow bar to it to tow the cart around, but what do you do with the TV while you're towing? Do you just not bring it and have a random post sticking out the back?
@DIYPETE
@DIYPETE 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Kyle! The TV would need to go elsewhere while towing unless at very low speeds. I would only really have the tv on it when it is parked. I did this bracket pretty quick just to show how it could be done --- but I'd recommend building one completely out of metal for additional support. Something that could fold up would be nice. Cheers

Hi! It's a smart tv with built in wifi. I have the MLB online sports package so it's basically getting a signal through the air via wifi. There is a power cord to the TV but it's kind of hidden in the video as it goes through and then under the deck to a plugin. Cheers man! - Pete

Pete, what did you use for the folding table portion? Do you recall the name of the metal bracket and where I can get it? I want to add that folder table to my cooler chest.

+Aaron Anderson Hey Aaron! I looked all over for these. I ended up finding them on Amazon. It's called a folding L bracket. amzn.to/26c4GVI -- the big box stores didn't have them, but I did see them at a cabinet store a while back.

What pro sports teams do Montanans root for since there's no pro sports there? I have to assume Seattle and maybe Denver teams. Cool project if you have room to store it. Cheers! --Chris.

Cactus Makeshop Hey Chris! We pretty much cheer for either Seattle, Denver, or Minnesota. I'd say more for Seattle and Denver -- but there are a fair amount of people with Minnesota/SouthDakota/NorthDakota ties who are Minnesota fans like myself. Thanks for the kind words! Cheers back at ya! - Pete

At first I thought that was rain on your Samsung TV. I guess snow doesn't damage like rain would. Hope your TV is OK.

Jason Bourdon Well I enjoy a few bbq's now and then :) The storms sometimes come out of nowhere up in the mountains which can be crazy. Definitely looking forward to warmer weather though and the Patio related projects seem to be pretty popular. What projects have you been working on lately Jason??!! Cheers
@jaytechCFL
@jaytechCFL 9 жыл бұрын
Just recently built a version of that patio cooler you and others have made. I'll send you a picture. Figured I should build the first one off camera and I'll film the next one. Also building a lean-to on the side of my house for storage. Just getting into woodworking. I'd like to build a version of that concrete table you made (a coffee table version). I just got my order of led lights (from china) and am playing around with some ideas for those. Channels like yours and a few others on KZfaq are so inspiring. Thank you so much for making these videos and keep up the good work.
